Chapter 45: Nothing To Hide

I felt like I’d swallowed the Energizer bunny whole. The concert would come to an end eventually, but I had no desire to stop. Hours, days, weeks—I could go on forever. That was the current problem. With my personal bodyguard nearby and much of my coven sharing the spotlight with me, I felt invincible.

The traditional microphone had been replaced by a wireless one, as my fingers tired out long ago. Surely, my guys were feeling the strain, but not one showed it. They kept up with me, without complaint.

Center-stage, I flung my arms to the sides and threw my face toward the sky. "What’s up, New York! How you feelin’?"

The ensuing cacophony only fueled me further. They’d kept up with me, too. Three hours since Wulf howled at the moon, New York was still rocking. I did not want the night to end.

"How do you like my baby brother?" I gestured to Wulf. "Isn’t he a doll?"
