Chapter 42: Honeymoon Cottage

Rose’s head spun from the champagne and from the festivities.

Many volunteers had stepped up to take care of Keegan, but Rose settled on Kelly since she had boys also. Keegan wouldn’t miss her. She’d only be gone a few days at the most. Cade still had a pack to run. With the children gone, the party had ramped up.

During the festivities later on, in the night, the pack shifted and did some celebrating as wolves. Cade didn’t and Rose appreciated his sensitivity in that situation. She would have felt left out at her own wedding. As much as she kept reminding herself that this wedding wasn’t real, her heart didn’t listen.

Some part of her was falling in love with Cade. She tried to resist, but he looked good enough to eat. He’d been the perfect gentleman all evening and he was just more than she’d ever hoped for in a husband. She hadn’t done so well last time and had given up hope. Funny that a matchmaker didn’t think she had a match. The irony of it was not lost on her.
