For the next two hours, Tommy drilled Ruby on her technique. He couldn't afford to go easy on her, even if he wanted to. Last night he'd hardly slept, the crazed maniac swirling through his thoughts. The what if's plagued him. She'd been lucky during her first encounter with Brady, and Tommy didn't want her relying on fate again. His body was stiff from not sleeping last night. After the kiss, he went downstairs and slept on the couch. Well, tried to. He couldn't trust himself to be next to her, smell her rose and musk scent and not touch her. He had to keep his head in the game. 


"Maybe because I'm tired and haven't eaten anything." She refused his hand to help her up. "I need a break before I collapse."
