chapter 19

Throwing Sofia out of his office was so satisfactory for Ethan, just the thoughts made him smile. Now that he had dealt with her, his focus was solemnly on getting Aria back.

He sat back in his chair, thinking of ways to apologize to her. He had tried calling and pleading to her. But Ariana was being stubborn. He needed to change his tactics. He needed to bring her back into his life and make up for his misdeed and cunning game.

He had already sent her a text message, in fact, multiple messages but she didn't bulge, she insisted on ending things with him.

"What should I do this time?" He whispered to himself.

"Should I show up in her office tomorrow with fresh blooming roses hanging on my hands?" He thought aloud, but then he shook his head. That wasn't a smart thing to do. Ariana would not appreciate that. She hated being the center of attention and Ethan running there was going to draw a lot of attention. He was too handsome to ignore, his presence was bound to draw attention.

The only thing he could do was to get her the most expensive things he could afford in the market!

"Yes! That's what I will do! Aria would have no choice but to take me back!" He beamed with excitement.

Ethan grabbed his phone and called his personal shopper, he placed the call on speaker and dropped the phone on his table.

"Hello, Miss Thea!" Ethan said, humming happily to himself.

"Hello sir, I am sorry but this is Carolina, her assistant," A timid voice answered.

The smug smile on Ethan's face fell and he frowned, sitting up straight. "I didn't call this line to listen to you, where is your boss!" He snapped.

"She is in the conference room having a meeting..." She girl said with a shaky voice.

"Look I don't care if she is talking to the President himself. I need her like right now! Go get her or you would Lose your job!" Ethan barked.

The line went silent for good three minutes as the assistant obviously ran around to get to her boss. Two more minutes later, Thea's breathy voice came to the line.

"Mr. Ethan I am so sorry. I was-" she started to say but Ethan cut her off.

"I don't care what you were doing. Next time I call, I don't want to hear that girl's voice again! " Ethan ordered.

"Yes, sir, you won't hear her sir," Thea responded quickly not wanting to anger him even more.

"Good. Now, I want you to go to the mall and get all the latest most expensive female clothes before noon. I want them in Aria's apartment. If this is not done in good time, you'll be fired too, do I make myself clear?" He threatened like the cold prince he was.

"Sure boss that will be done!" The lady replied shakily before he ended the call.

Ethan sighed. His smug smile returned to his face and he couldn't wait to see Aria.

"Aria baby I want to see your lovely face so badly, I can't wait to kiss your virgin lips again.' —He thought to himself with a smirk on his lips.

He sat back on his chair again, waiting for the hours to pass. He wanted to be there when they delivered the clothes to Aria. He wanted to see the look on her beautiful face. Aria was the real woman for him. The other women in his life were only to pass time and have some fun with —nothing more.

He couldn't wait. He kept checking his golden wristwatch every minute to check how fast the time was going. He couldn't even concentrate on the work on his own table. He pushed it further away from him, he would do it the next day, when he has reconciled with Aria. Or maybe even much later, after their reunion date was over.

He knew Aria. She was angry, but as soon as she saw his face, she would forgive him. Her heart was the softest he had ever seen and she loved him too much. This anger she felt was just for a few days and mostly because he wasn't right in front of her.

She couldn't keep saying no to him. She would have no choice but to forgive him.

His phone rang and he quickly picked it up, knowing it would be no other but his personal shopper Thea.

"Sir, the package is ready. I have assigned one of the boys to drop it in exactly ten minutes," she said

"Great. You have done well." He ended the call and snatched his car keys from the table. It was finally time to go meet his Aria.

Ethan walked out of his office, heading to Aria's house. He wasn't thinking of the situation he could meet her in when he got to her place. All he wanted was to have a taste of her soft lips again. He had gotten rid of Sofia there was nothing else that could separate them.

There was a bit of traffic on the road and this riled him totally. He kept cursing throughout the duration of the ride. Maybe he should have taken his private jet, but then there wouldn't have been a place for him to land. Maybe he should have Aria change her apartment to a more spacious area, where he didn't have to suffer from traffic.

After driving for thirty minutes from major to tertiary roads, maneuvering his way through the traffic, he finally arrived at his destination.

"Aria here I come," he whispered with his signatory smug smile, as he parked his Lamborghini Sian in front of the building. The car looked out of place in such a crowded area but Ethan didn't care. He could buy a hundred more of them if something were to happen to it. He turned off the engine and alighted from the vehicle.

He took long strides till he got to the front steps of Aria's apartment. He gave a sharp knock and a few seconds after, the door flew open.

"You!"
