Chapter 22: Concerns

Elijah was more than a clan issue, but a personal problem at this time. The last time Logan felt this furious was when his lover had revealed herself to be a vampiress. A woman who had tainted and ruined him, stealing his life and everything that he held dear. And now this werewolf was trying to steal what was his. Not that he owned Gwen, he didn’t, but he didn’t want anyone else to touch her. She didn’t deserve a man like Elijah. H*ll, she didn’t deserve a man like him.

Logan slammed the door open to the house and found Cleo sitting on a chaise lounge near one of the glamorous fireplaces in the sitting room. She was sprawled out and drinking from a wine glass, relaxed, and lost in her thoughts.

“We need to talk,” his voiced boomed and echoed through the room.

“About what?” Cleo sat up straight and swirled the thick, red, liquid in her wine glass.

“Elijah,” Logan fell into a leather armchair across from her.
