Chapter 33: It Was Ours

Logan took his time, searching through the whole thirteenth floor for Gwen. He banged open doors with Alex on his trail, helplessly following him through the building without much question.

“You know she’s gone,” Alex tried to reason with the madman in front of him.

Logan pounded doors open to reveal nothing but garbage leftover from when the place was running. He growled beneath his breath as he quickly looked around with a determined expression.

He would find her if it was the last thing he did.

“Even if she is, there has to be a clue as to where they went,” Logan threw open the last possible door.

The room was empty except for a chair. White pill bottles were scattered across the floor, littering the filthy tile.

Logan swallowed hard and walked up to grab one of the containers. He bent over and swiped one from the ground, turning it in his hand to reveal the familiar label.
