[Mandy's Diary Today]

"You spilled the cake on Magdalena Bedington?!" Candice's hysterical scream almost deafened my ears, causing me to suddenly jerk my head to the side while plugging my ear canal with my index finger. Seconds later, Candice's laughter exploded no less loudly. She even thumped the pillow that was carried on her lap with teardrops rolling down her cheeks. Candice stopped laughing, rolled her eyes to look at me. "You didn't take out your phone to capture it?"

For the sake of Superman's panties. "Are you crazy? She's Magdalena Bedington. I didn't have a chance to capture the picture anyway." I said while lifting the corners of my lips.

"Too bad. You can upload it on Instagram and have a lot of likes there." As if it were not a stupid line, Candice stroked her shiny nails without taking her eyes off me.

"Are you fucking kidding?" My eyebrow raised. Seriously, I was probably the only person who could stand having a super stupid best friend like Candice Fields. Even though her brain was upside down, Candice was still my best friend since we were still in the crib. Although Candice Fields was unbelievably stupid, my love for her was equal to my love for Angus—my Persian cat.

Our schedule for tonight was to do a pajama party. After coming home from Bedington's mansion, I contacted Candice—whose house is located next to mine to sleep with me. We used to stay up all night watching movies and gossiping about Rebekah Hills silicone, April Jansen's fake ass, or the hot high school boys who used to spend their summer vacations swimming on the beach near our house—not a fan of teens, but a little glance to the hot boys was harmless, I guess.

Candice rolled to the side with her hands outstretched on the carpet, her head turned towards me. "Did you give him a present?"

Sighed, "I told you, my poor cake fell on Grandma Magdalena's face." I looked back at Candice with a 'Don't start, please' look.

"I mean, another gift." Candice blinked a few times, with her long lashes smoothly brushing her eyelids.

"Oh." Understanding Candice's point, I nodded my head responsively. "He kissed me..." I stepped forward and whispered in her ear. "... very, intensely, freaking hot." I dragged every syllable to sound dramatic. "But Thumbelina messed things up. She ruined our moment." If I remembered Thumbelina, somehow the anger that was rumbling in my chest overflowed again like an eruption of magma. If Thumbelina hadn't been Justin's favorite dog, I'd have tied her up in a tree, leaving her to bark pitifully.

"That's not it, Mandy." Candice buried her face in the pillow, then looked back at me while shifting more to the side, whispering in my ear so I could feel her strawberry-scented breath. "Birthday sex."

Spontaneously, I looked at her with wide eyes. "No. Of course not! Do you think the old-fashioned Bedingtons would accept a non-virgin daughter-in-law?! They're old school and conservative."

"Forget about that. You're such a fool to pass up The Sex God, like Justin." She blinked her eyes again and again—not to mention the loud sigh that she made.

"Geez, Candice." I turned around to face Candice and put my fingers up. More precisely, showing off a ring pinned to my index finger in front of her eyes. "I won't break this." My fingers were folded, leaving one index finger showing a silver ring wrapped around it nicely. The second most valuable ring after the ring from Justin.

"Fuck that purity ring." Candice forcibly removed the ring on my index finger, then tossed it far and landed on the floor with a low clunk.

"Candice!" I screamed hysterically. "What the hell are you doing?!" I hastily crawled around looking for the ring that Candice threw. Was she out of her mind?! What if Mom found out that my purity ring was missing! She might faint thinking things that were not. I was sworn not to have sex with my boyfriend before marriage. And the real proof was the ring. Damn you, Fields!

Still crawling looking for the ring that Candice threw carelessly earlier, I cursed in my heart, sighing softly yet I haven't found it. While Candice just looked at me boringly from her place.

"Come on, Mandy. Fuck the rules and fuck him A.S.A.P."

My head moved in response to Candice's moans behind me. I gave her a nonchalant look. "I'll wait until he marries me, Candice." My eyeballs rolled. Ignoring Candice who was still giving her a dangerous confrontation, I crawled again looking for the ring under the table, so that my head hit the edge of my study table causing me to scream in pain. My palms practically caressed my head, which fell on the edge of the table, cursing once more.

"Ugh, stupid rules." Candice rolled over, facing the ceiling ignoring me, her lifelong best friend, busy searching for the purity ring she had thrown earlier.
