A Dance

Turns out he was screaming for real when I stood up to act out my tale. I turned my back and saw Ferdinand who hugged his knees tightly while occasionally biting his fingers.

"It's just a story. Just listen." Besides, I purposely made him the most miserable one in my fairy tale, so he knows how it feels.

            Where did my story go?

Oh, until Ferdinand shouted when he saw Rebekah approaching him. He covered his face in fear, still muffledmuffling the sound of his screams in his palms. Rebekah laughed sarcastically, tilting her head up to reveal the hood of her robes and her long blonde hair fluttering in the night breeze.

"I'll make you a fine meal," she said, pointing at Ferdinand who was shaking with fear.
