I lost word from Candice a few days later. More precisely, the next three weeks after the messages I sent were never responded to. I called many times, no response from her. At this time, the phone was off. I called every minute to make sure she didn't turn off her phone for a long period—or worse, changed her number and without telling me. However, what I got was not what I expected. The number was still deactivated.

I missed the news. The house was quiet. And her neighbors said Candice never came to the house two days after she was brought home from the hospital by Nik. Not only Candice's number but Nik's was also difficult to reach. Every time I called him, only a dial tone was heard.
