[You have slain the boss]
[You have leveled up] [3x]
[You have earned: 3 million gold points]
[You have earned the entry permit to move to the next floor]
[Item: Entry Permit]
Rarity: ??
Type: ??
A permit allowing you to enter the 2nd floor of the Tower of Chaos can only be used on the 1st-floor transfer magic circle.
I looked around for a circle and spotted a slightly glowing rock pillar in the distance. I summoned the entry permit, which is a scroll made of animal hide, and as soon as it appeared the scroll burst into bright light particles that snaked their way into the glowing circle before it got absorbed by it.
A portal appeared and once I stepped through it I found myself in a whole new ecosystem, it's a swamp with bodies of discolored water and discolored grass, with oak trees covered in vines.
[2nd floor: SWAMP]
Monster Type: Poisonous Reptiles.
Level-80-90
It didn't specify what type of exact species of monster I am facing but I don't care anymore all I had in my mind was to reach the top and return home.
So I started to climb the second floor, third, fourth… and eventually, the 30th floor. That was the result of grinding for a month straight. It was taking way too long, but I can't really do anything here, each floor is like a whole fucking dimension, it's so big that sometimes it's become hard to find my targets, they holed up in the most unpredictable corner of the floor.
And it was a bloody massacre, yes. If I didn't have the gluttony skill I would have died long ago, the higher I climb the more extreme the environment is, I have passed through a multitude of biomes, large water bodies with small islands littered throughout the floor, desert, volcanic mountain area, and even a large underground cave system, till now I have survived on Yeti meats, but they will run out in few days, my water source had also run out long ago.
I haven't drank a drop of water in like five days, but I did find its replacement.
On 27h floor, the exclusive territory of the basilisk race, their poison sac became my liquid source. Due to the blessing, I don't get poisoned so I drank them like they are beverages. Drinking their poison not only gave me immunity to poison, but it also gave me immunity to certain elements. Different rank basilisk spews out different things, the low-class one spits out poison, the mid ranks literally shoots out of a beam of ice that instantly freezes anything in its path, the high ranked one has extremely potent fire breath and the boss have all three of them.
Drinking their poison gave me tolerance to elements like ice and Fire, for now, I have enough poison sac to keep me hydrated for a month.
I tried their meat, it's bad… tastes like burnt meat and soil, if I consume that shit I have to fight explosive diarrhea in some dark corner rather than fighting monsters.
Next up, is my level. My level had climbed to 103 this month and my stats. I think I can probably K.O an ultimate class devil with a flick of my finger. Lots of monsters, rich reaping session, and a perfect opportunity to horde skills that would cost millions if not billions in the system. What even funnier is that the skills I reap from them are all at a higher level.
This made me think about the possibility of the gacha not being connected with the system, as a matter of fact, there shouldn't be any need for the shop, or why isn't it selling gacha tickets?
This is just rough speculation I have no proof to strengthen my statement... But it also doesn't make sense when it gave me those tickets. I honestly have no idea what the hell is going on.
I am as confused as you are.
Now let's go get a class for us… I have been waiting for this day for over a fucking month, I hope it will hand me down something rewarding.
Anything but tanker and archer will do. Assassin classes have some sick skills, Cleric is also a nice class if it has skills like resurrection.
Let's not wait to waste time here, we will see what class the system will provide once I clear floor 30. When I stepped through the portal I found myself in a desolate land with dried-up trees and water bodies.
[30th floor: Ethereal Wilds]
Monster Type: High Orc.
Level: 100-150.
The path to the place where the boss has already been blocked by countless Orc warriors. These orcs are just like the Orc race from the world of Warcraft, the only difference I found in them are their skin color and height.
These humanoid creatures all have red skin with tribal tattoos engraved on their body, they are just a little over 2 meters.
I summoned multiple rock golems just to make the number even, and in just under one single day we slaughtered our way through the Ethereal wild killing everything that is moving. The dungeon is not inhabited by orcs alone, we found a different race of creatures, such as tree monsters, large underground worms & even slimes that have an extremely corrosive body.
I sadly lost my sword of decay while fighting one of those fucker. The Poisonous bitch chomp out a piece of my sword when I tried to slice its core into pieces.
It was a pretty good sword, your sacrifice won't be forgotten.
Anyway, we finally made it to the boss hideout, the magical energy is huge, unlike any other bosses. This means I will be facing a mage type, and this does put a smile on my face. After that Yeti king, I haven't fought many enemies who have certain sets of skills in their arsenal, but I did reap some useful abilities.
"Guard the entrance, if anything other than me steps outside squash them, yeah?" The ten massive 5 meters golem bobbed their head and formed a circle around the cavern entrance.
I summoned a ball of light, well actually a glowing orb created out of holy magic. I have been doing some experiments with the holy elements, they have a similar mechanic like demonic power, the output of magical energy & imagination is the key elements here, you can pretty much shape the holy power to take the form of any weapon, create barriers, heal minor wounds overnight, & use it as your light source, pretty handy I would say.
I hopped down into the cavern & followed the markings on the walls. I didn't have to go round & round through different routes as it seems this was the only path big enough for an orc to move through.
Eventually, I was greeted by a huge open space illuminated by large crystalline rocks in the ceiling. The chamber is completely filled up with countless High Orcs. At least 30... Maybe 40 something.
The boss sat on a wooden throne on the top of the altar, he was dressed in a typical magic caster manner, bone necklace, earrings, mask, and extravagant robes. I could sense incredible magical energy from that one bastard alone, and this made me smile. I haven't fought any boss who is adept in magic, Yeti king had some sick abilities but the other bosses I fought until now are mostly overgrown mutated animals, most of their skills were of no use for me so I sold them to the shop, those skills are exclusive to their race only.
"… For a mere human to make this far, how presumptuous!" Oh, it can speak the human language. "But this is as far you can go, your life ends here." The boss cackled out.
"End him!" The boss began smirking in derision. All of these orcs are at least on level 130 with the exception of the boss. The haughtiness in his voice made me wanna slice each of everyone with the chainsaw, but sadly my favorite weapon won't do much damage it's just your manmade tree cutting machine, if only I have doom guy's chainsaw.
Meh whatever, it's not like I am helpless here. I took a large sum of air into my lungs and held it in as the group of four Elite high-class orcs rushed towards me. The moment they moved past 20 yards I spit out a massive stream of pure white flames from the depths of my mouth.
The flames instantly incinerated the orcs to smithereens, the flame didn't dim down, and instead, they continued to grow more violent and hotter.
This is one of the special skills I robbed from the "Basilisk Boss", the creature breathes out a special fire that won't go out until it dies, the flames spat by the creature will continue to grow more powerful & violent, melting the surrounding into a pit of lava.
The heat produced by this one attack is enough to melt your skin, this is the ultimate offense & defense skill.
"Hymn of slowness, Hymn of blindness, hymn of crippling fever, Hymn of intolerable pain, Hymn of Demonic slumber!" I heard the boss cast five different spells.
[Abnormal Status has occurred]
[All abnormal status will be removed with the effects of "Buff immunity"]
[All five hexes had been dispelled]
xxx
The boss's eyes widened in shock when all his hexes were dispelled immediately, and that made no sense! How can a mere human do that? They were the weakest bunch… This makes no sense!
"Hymn of…" The boss's word got stuck into his throat when he heard a peal of low laughter that slowly started to pick up strength.
"HE HE HE HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" The boss's face would have reddened by humiliation, but the laugh doesn't sound like that of mockery, it sounds like that of an insane man.
He got the shakes, real bad.
A bad chill crept down his neck as he stared into the pair of brown eyes behind the walls of violent flames. Those eyes were eyeing him as if he was the juiciest prey, the sickening grin on the human's face made him more nervous than he had been in his lifetime.
He started to feel more nauseated when he saw how easily his men were massacred by a human. His skin began to creep up and down his bones… it wasn't just the volume of cruel methods the human was using to kill his minions, no it was the familiar abilities that made him fear the human more.
Most of these attacks are similar to the bosses' main sets of skills from the lower floor, the fire breath, ice breath, electric breath, rock Bullet, rock Armor, golem Creation, they all belong to the owner of the lower floors.
'No it can't be, there is no way a human can steal abilities from other races." The boss thought but he can already feel the impending doom approaching him, the human had eliminated about 80% of his troops in a span of a few minutes, he was ashamed by the pathetic display of his own men.
"Hymn of Rage! Hymn of Strengthening! Hymn of the Giants! Hymn of the fire dragon!" The boss's body suddenly ballooned up to nearly ten meters tall.
Right away, the boss took a deep breath and spat out its breath, reddish-black flames erupted out of its mouth. Though his own attack is killing its own kind he only has one thing in his mind "that human is dangerous and I need to take care of him".
"You have excellent spells." The boss's body went stiff when the human's voice came from behind him.
The boss raised his head and saw the human standing on the top rail of his throne with a sword made of holy power.
"W-Wait you can take the permit and leave, no need for v-violence." The human smiled gently at him.
"Violence is always the answer." The other remaining Orcs watched in fear as their chief's head was separated with one swing of the human.
