I snickered and the lights went off, the expanse radiated a soft red underneath us and we looked around.

  Gasps erupted as we floated in the room, all of us were out of control while it developed into an ocean, bubbles escaped my mouth as we saw unusual merpeople.

With the head of snappers and bluish-grey humanoid bodies with gills on their sides.

Unlike us, they were very much harmonized to the water.

"How are we supposed to fight these things if we can't even throw a punch?"

"It's coming back!" He screamed at her and she rolled over to blast it, the creature screeched pawing back. 


 Her eyes rounded at the creature as the energy showed just about what it was before it had a lift-off far away from them, it crash landed on the sand by the water with smoke. 


It trembled as the energy sizzled on it, writhing in pain. They stood up carefully stepping back with their arms around each other when it woke up nursing itself under its wing. 


"Oh yeah, aside from public speaking, I'm deathly afraid of griffins" 


"Griffins aren't real," She said as a matter of fact and he pointed at it headed their way. 


 Aside from its flawless white head, it had dark feathers strange to the ones on images and its claws looked lethal. It squawked and throttled after them on foot. 


"Cover me!" She yelled and Zeke huffed turning back alarmed at what she said in the middle of the storm
