It was the standard Hunter threat. She had been on enough missions like these to have memorized the usual threats Dimitri and Selvo used to get supernaturals to talk.
The head chief sighed again. "Send me the bill."
So much for taking the lifeline she'd thrown her. Blanca wasn't surprised. She wouldn't have taken the deal either. But she still had to go through the motions, playing out this scene to its conclusion.
"Very well," Blanca added and raised her brow at Sharon, who was obviously flirting with one of the patrols in the far corner.
