Chapter 141

"Good." Ulrich's eyes scanned the horizon without focus, but he didn't say more. This realm was nothing like the underworld but it was beautiful and he couldn't deny it. It was full of vibrant colours and hues, fresh and clean and crisp.

"Did you grow up here?" Mora asked as the road straightened out.

"Not really."

"I see," she said, as they seemed to be free from cliffs and twisty roads for the moment. The view widened as they descended into a colourful valley. Rich was a man of few words, but why does it feel like he was as amazed as her? Was he really from this part of the region?

Resting one hand on the top of the wheel, he pointed to the far side of the basin. "We'll turn there and wrap around the side of that ridge. The road gets a bit rough, but the scenery can't be beaten."

Well, maybe he was. She thought.

And it wasn't already rough? Her stomach wasn't going to last much longer.
