"Oh, I'm sorry. What did you mean, witch?" Elfar asked, clearly annoying her.

She stared at him, looking as though she was on the verge of tears. Even though he knew how much she hated him and his kind, he felt like an asshole for taunting her. What he'd done to her hadn't been right. But the woman had managed to take his mate's body effortlessly. A little game won't harm Mora.

But it had been the only option. To awaken the Dark Angel, he needed to play this right with no room for error. He hadn't wanted to do it. He was cursed for fuck's sake.
