After over thirty-years of searching, Ravuth at last feels hopeful.

This thrilling, unpredictable, yet sometimes hilarious quest, takes you from the fashionable London restaurant scene to the wild, untamed jungles of the Cardamom Mountains, where an English baker helps a Cambodian refugee searching for his missing family and an elusive plant, the source of an exquisite spice.

With England in the icy grip of winter, Cake rushed around the warm bakery of the pâtisserie, which had been inundated with customers since he returned from Cambodia several weeks earlier. His parents and staff had done a tremendous job building up the business in his absence, and with Cake’s renewed vigour; he would ensure that success continued.
