Jed sat on a leather sofa staring at his phone on the coffee table. His fear turned to anger, knowing Ortega and Valentine had double-crossed him and put their assassin on his tail since their meeting in Bangkok. Unaware about what had happened in the jungle and fearing the worse, Jed trembled when he thought how Ravuth had inadvertently led their assassin to the poppy and she had most likely killed everyone, including Sok and the giant. Although now expecting her to come for him, Jed knew he had the advantage of knowing the cartel’s assassin was Anni and knew what she looked like.
