The Wrong Man

It seems Joshua finds my acquaintance with Jaiden, Dave, Aux, and Amina amusing for no logical reason. For days, leading up to the seventh-month mark of our marriage, he has been joking about how anyone would find my company fun. 


So to see our bond close up, he invites his friends over to play a game of truth or dare in the room I've been told to stay out of numerous times. It has a led light strip on the ceiling and comfortable couches surrounding a standard size coffee table. It's rectangular and perfect for me to bump into in this dark-dimmed room. 


For the first ten minutes, Amina obeys Joshua's order to play with us but leaves abruptly, excusing herself to assist Joshua's parents immediately. She doesn't give him time to talk and slams the door closed. Rightfully upset. 


Her questions weren't bad. Just about who she's dating or her alcohol limit. 


Mine were targeting my acquaintance with Jaiden, Dave, Aux, and Amina.
