THE INTRICATE

Standing there, was the principal and Coach vs Chris and I. Chris's laugh had faded. I felt a huge pain on my chest. 


I'm in trouble again! From apes to human swallow me whole! 


"What are you kids doing in here?",the principal was frowning as he said looking at us. Coach was looking back and forth at Chris and I and then stared at me. I had lost words... 


" Principal, I had sent Monica to come an get the cricket bats for Mr Beckons he needs them for his team.", He said firmly still looking at me. 


"Well if that's so, Christopher what brings you here?"The principal asked. He had nothing to say he just stood there. So he had to follow the principal to his office. 


I said nothing to Coach instead , I rushed off to class. I didn't show up for practice during the break and after school because I wanted to avoid talking to Coach. I went home and found Lilly watching TV half naked. 


"Hey cuz!", I said as I threw my bag on the couch. 


"Weren't you supposed to be at practice?",she asked turning to me. 


"Oh I'm great thanks for asking. " I said as I rushed upstairs to my room. 


I laid on the bed when my phone vibrated. 


I took a look at it and it was a text from Brandon. 


Brandon:Hy beautiful you back from school?*smiley face* 


Brandon: Brandy??okay ok... How was your day. 


Me: It was bustecious*hands on face emoji* 


I told him the whole story and that I was trying to avoid coach, for him not to talk about it. 


Brandon: Looks like this Chris guy has been getting u in trouble. Look Nica you can't avoid him forever go to practice tomorrow and see what will happen, and whatever happens it'll happen and pass. Okay?! 


After my convo with Brandon I got off my bed, wore my pyjamas and went downstairs to help Lilly to cook dinner. 


When I got to the kitchen I took out the pots. 


"Don't bother yourself, if you're hungry pizza is here, mom said that she'll come back in the morning she's cought up with work , something like that", she shouted from the lounge. 


"Lazy bitch",I giggled sat next to her. She hit me on the shoulder and I laughed once more. I took a slice of pizza and we were about to watch a movie... 


" Ohh oohh ohh sister!", She jumped up and down, excitement scribbled upon her face and scared the freeze pops out of me causing me to flinch."What the hell Lilly??" 


She relayed to me that he had met this cute guy afterschool today and that she thinks she likes him and all. They flirted, he was nice , he bought her chocolate and walked her home. 


She spent hours talking about this guy but when I asked questions like, what's his name ? Where does he live? How old is he? Which school? And what if her current boyfriend Don found out about it? 


She said ," his name is Non of ur bizz wax, he lives in my bizz nacks, he's younger than grandpa, who cares where he goes to school and for that dumbass Don I'm dumping him just wait and see. I can't wait to be in my new man's arms hmm." Wow that last sentence made her eyes brighten and glow as she sighed dreamy. 


After her long story about "new mate" we ended up watching the movie at 23:00 were as we were supposed to be sleeping then. 


The was now dead silence in the room and the lights were off the only things that brought light was the big screen TV in front of us. Movie night, popcorns, lights off and horror movie here we come.
