Maria died and then reincarnated into a game. A harem game. Not as a protagonist, but as a member of the MC's harem. The childhood friend that never wins. They were talking about sacrificing Maria to the demon gods to ensure world peace. She was about to be killed for things she could not control and Maria did not want that. Not one to be taken for granted like this, Maria decides to run away from home and started her new journey. This time, she was no longer a harem girl doomed to be cast away, but rather the hero of her own story. She would travel lands, gather friends and live her life out. And she has to do all this while running away from her dead ex-fiancé's sister who has an obsession with her for some reason.

“Of course, we have everything prepared to go. What kind of idiot do you take us for?” Maria walked down the stairs, only to watch Nao interrogate a group of locals. 


The person she had been talking with sounded pissed off but he also seemed to be in control of his temper. Maria spotted a bag of something in his hand and it looked too fancy to have belonged to the poor man in front of her. 


It had to have been something Nao used to bribe the man. 


“Look, I’m not accusing you. I was merely asking if you were ready to head out” Nao asked in a quiet voice and Maria wasted the man in front of Nao flinch as soon as the hood came down. 


Maria had never seen anyone react violently to a demon before but the village man almost fainted from Nao’s mere looks alone. 


“Dear, are you alright? T-This is a demon” the woman behind him, apparently, his wife, stepped forward to catch her falling husband. Her eyes took one look at Nao and chose to ignore her.
