The Wrong Mate

After breakfast and watching Ash flirt with my man the whole time, I take Beau to a corner to explain things to him.


"I saw him last night," I tell him the truth.


"Who?" he asks as panic flashes in his eyes.


I know he thinks that I disobeyed him and didn't listen. But I didn't and I wouldn't. I just wish he would just see that.


"Col," my voice gets lower as I tell him.


"In my head, I don't even know how it happened, but it was real and it was there."


I nod, "A dream. He was in a room. It seemed like he was trapped or something. I know it doesn't make sense, but I am sure that it was him. I felt him, his scent, everything."


"It makes sense. Something like that has happened to me and Lanis. It is like a mind link but more enhanced. Didn't you ever have that with your previous mate? "
