The Wrong Mate

I jump up from the bed, sweat trickles down my face and body as I try to calm my breathing as I wake up from the nightmare that I just had.

My biggest fear growing up was ending up alone. Now, all I fear is just the thought of losing Lo. Roman said if he comes to the compound, they will kill him.

I tried to talk him out of it but he didn't listen to me. One thing about Lo, he does what he wants. I haven't gotten to the point in our relationship where I can convince him to do things—no matter how right I think my decisions are.
