The Wrong Mate

One minute there was light, and the next, all I saw was darkness. Now I am here in his arms in this room and I have never felt as content as I do at this moment.

He pushes me to the bed, and I let him take control. I will give my all to Col and then I will find a way to give him more. Nothing can top the sacrifices, the way he has treated me, and the love I have gotten from him. He climbs on top of me and I smile. I almost died a couple of hours ago, but I have never felt alive.

"How did we get out of there?" he asks me in between kisses.

After the blood and the calling, I felt like a different person—hell, I know I am a different person. I want nothing more than to have him with this newfound energy that he has given me.
