It's been a week since Enki lost his virginity ever since his relationship with Ryuu and Rose began things started taking a turn for the better.
"Everyone got their gear?" Enki asked and turned to Bell and Lilly.
"Let's go," He turned, and they followed behind him. They went past street stalls, stopping to get some light snacks.
Arriving at the guild was the same as usual. They walked in and fought monsters on the 17th floor. For the past week, they've been growing comfortably dealing with the monsters on that floor. Each of them had improved ever so since then.
-Swish! -Swish! -Swish!
Lilly on Verde's back was no longer using a crossbow but an actual bow instead while riding on the Jackbird's back. She's had the most growth because Enki had been bringing her with him to have her fight monsters on her own.
It ended with her running to Hestia that he was evil and wanted to torture her, but she did wonderful hero status showed it averaging a D in most of them.
She was doing great with the bow. But her training with Enki wasn't over.
"FIREBOLT!" Bell roared, shooting his flame forward, decimating two Minotaurs before charging a third and clashing with his knife.
And then there was Enki, who was mowing through minotaurs and Hellhounds with his glaive. He jumped over a coming blast of fire and snapped his fingers, shooting ice from his water aura.
He stabbed his blade into the ground and clapped his hands. 'Torrent!'
-Crack!
Cracks erupted beneath the hellhounds as water burst forth, covering them in the next second and freezing into the ice a combination of his water magic and alchemy he mastered.
He picked up his glaive and slashed at the frozen monsters, cutting them in half.
"Phew, that was nice. How are you guys doing?" He turned back to them, finished with their kills.
"I think we can keep going a little if you guys are good with that."
"Kruuu!" Verde screeched, wanting to keep hunting.
"Well then, it's settled," Enki grinned, twirling his glaive.

[Hestia's Church]
Level 2
Strength: C-674
Endurance: C-670
Dexterity: C-678
Agility: C-662
Magic: C-691
Hunter: H
Memory Retention: F
Magic: Torrent - When cast, a water aura will surround the host, increasing physical abilities by 60%, granting a minor healing factor and the ability of water magic.
Skill: Alchemy - The ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter using natural energy with your own hands or a transmutation circle.
King's Aura - A body made fit for a king. You can exert your willpower over others, making them weak in your presence. As a king, you are immune to charm. All abilities and magic will receive a boost.
"That's nice," Enki whistled, looking at his status.
"That new skill of yours is balancing your status, hell it even improved your Torrent magic's effects," Hestia said, looking over his shoulder.
"Yeah, how strong would that make me? Is that equal to a level 3? Hestia, how does the level-up work?" He asked, trying to understand the process.
Hestia chirped and stood up. "Great question Enki, it's simple when your status reaches any point after D, you collect enough excelia to level up. Your past status is there, but will be buried by a new page that is your next level."
She grabbed a price of paper and wrote an example. She pulled out some glasses from somewhere and went to speak.
Lv1 S-999 > Lv2 I-0
Lv1 B-799 > Lv2 I-0
"As you can see, my intellectual child here are example statuses for adventurers when you level up your status resets, but that doesn't mean they are equal in strength because the previous status is still there."
"Right, I know this, but how does my magic compare? What about level-ups? How does that factor in?"
"I'm glad you ask because this is where things get interesting for your magic, too."
"Although it doesn't show let me explain when you level up your status resets but there is more you get stronger by 10% of your status which is why in what I've written someone who shares the same status as another and levels up will be stronger because of the invisible improvement."
Lv1 S-999 (+99) > Lv2 I-0
Lv1 S-999
"Something needs to be said though Enki, your magic is special when I checked your status. I was amazed because it improved your "overall abilities" which is why your magic brings you up higher equal to those levels ahead of you."
Enki Lv1 SS-1002 (+100) > Lv2 C-670 + (1772*Torrent[0.6]=1063) = 2835
Lv1 S-999 (+99) > Lv2 S-999 (+99) > Lv3 S-999 = 3197
Lv1 S-999 (+99) > Lv2 S-999 (+99) > Lv3 A-836 = 2835
"So in reality that is how strong you compare to a level 3 who has reached 999 in both levels one and two, so apply the same math to any other adventurer and you can accurately compare yourself," she said with a pleased sigh.
"Okay, I think I understand this then... damn, that's a lot of maths. Hestia, are you secretly a genius?"
She huffed and puffed her chest, "I am great, aren't I?"
'She kind of is,' he chuckled and hot up, putting on his shirt. Lilly and Bell came down dressed in casual clothing.
"Enki, what are you planning to do for the moon festival?" Lilly asked, sitting down.
"Wait, the Holy Moon Festival?" Enki tilted his head. "When is it taking place?"
"It's tomorrow. Did you forget?" She asked. Enki simply it must've slipped past him.
"What's the moon festival?" Bell asked. Hestia was also curious.
Enki and Lilly made a summary of the festival. All the while, Enki's mind was churning about what he was going to do. Of course, time was of the essence and he needed to think of how to change the sad ending.
He started forming a plan. "Well then, why don't we go out and have fun and enjoy everything!?" Hestia said with a hearty smile.
"I'd be down with that, with that," Enki smiled.
"Great, I'm glad everyone agreed. I think we'll have a great time," Lilly cheered, clapping her hands. She had opened up to them in the time they spent together.
Enki looked outside noting it was getting, "why don't we play some Jenga and then head to bed," Enki suggested.
"Oh, I'll make some tea," Hestia got up.
They spent the night talking about light things and gaming. Bell won Jenga almost every time.
"Stupid luck. Why don't I have a luck blessing? I could do so many things," Enki sighed, 'could've killed Ottar there and then.'
"There's nothing you can do about it, a stupidly great power," Lilly chuckled, cleaning up.
...
It was late at night, and Enki stepped out of the bath being the last to shower. He made it to his room, putting on shorts and nothing else. He enjoyed sleeping naked most of the time.
"She should be here," just as he said that a beautiful elf entered through the window.
The elf tackled him into a hug, "hey Ryuu~" he snaked his arms around her squeezing tightly but something was different. She was wearing her adventurer gear.
"Ryuu?"
"I know, but I have to go. The Hermes Familia has come to me for help with some monsters outside of Orario," she gave a small smile and kissed him wholeheartedly, slipping her tongue in there.
Enki paused for a moment. "How about I come with you?" he asked.
"I'm sorry, but this is something you can't handle at your level," she said, ready to leave, but Enki pulled her back.
He wanted to blurt out that he knew what was going on and how they'd meet, but the truth of his transmigration was he'd take to his grave. So instead, he planned to turn this in his favour.
"You know I'll chase after you."
"You can try, but I'll be far away by the time morning comes," she gave a small smile as if to challenge him.
"Wow, challenging me? Well then, I want you to know that when I find you," he gave a slurry smile slowly pushing her against the wall, "I will punish and there is no getting away from that," he blew her ear, making her shiver.
This was just a game between them but also something to assure they'd meet again for Ryuu it was a promise to return just in case the worst happened, that's what she, thought but Enki knew the future was fine and was going to enjoy playing with her.
"I'll see when, so you are in a while then and tell Rose I'm sorry we can't meet soon," she said and jumped out the window using her skill. She moved faster than he could track her.
"Hah," he sighed and got dressed.
He moved through the streets, arriving in front of Rose's house. The lights were on, "she probably reading right now."
-Knock -Knock
Inside, Rose was curled up on her couch reading a romance book, "man with two souls."
When a knock came, she was brought out of her immersion, her ears perking up. She wasn't expecting anyone soon.
"Yes?" She got up and walked to the door. She looked through the hole surprised to see it was Enki surprised she welcomed him in.
"Sorry if it's sudden and all," he said, stepping in.
"N-no problem I was in a good book if you want to join me," she said her tail wagging back and forth, she could still remember their wild night a week ago she hadn't said the words "I love you" realising it was in the heat of the moment but spending time with him she was building it up to tell him.
"Don't mind if I do, I came to sit and snuggle in here with you," He said, walking in. She smiled and dragged him to her couch.
She made him sit down first and lie sideways and she sat in being the little spoon. "Can I be the little spoon next time?" He asked.
"I thought men loved to be the big spoon?"
"I feel safer knowing you're holding me and besides if I'm holding you like this," he snaked his arms around her, gripping her plump thighs, "we would not be spooning."
He felt her shiver slightly before regaining her composure. "Ahem, so what are we reading?"
"A book about a man with two souls. Can I ask why you came now?" She said, flipping the book.
"I'll tell you after, I wanna enjoy this," he let out a satisfied sigh, enjoying his peace before the shit hit the fan in the upcoming days.
