THE HYBRID'S CURSE
CHAPTER 15: TAKING SIDES
Gaia immediately paused in her speech as her eyes snapped up to Michael's window. That was him screaming, as Mia joined in it too. She quickly ran to the house as her father followed suit. The father headed straight for Mia to check what was happening as Gaia ran up the stairs to Michael's room fearing the worst. She knew her uncle Gadreel was one of the dangerous people and he hated when people defiled him, which Michael, his son spent his whole life doing but she thought that Gadreel would know that Michael was already hurt so he wouldn't add to his injuries but she guessed wrong.
As she ran inside the room, she took in the scene, before her. Michael was lifted off the ground, slammed against the wall, as his dad dug his fingers in his neck, as blood gushed out. She immediately shouted and ran to Gadreel trying to pull him away from Michael but it was futile as Gadreel pushed her as she flew hitting the wall and fell down, groaning in pains. She must have had two or three broken ribs already. Getting angry, she felt her vampire side of her digging out, as her fangs grew and her claws did too.
She quickly stood up and reached Gadreel, in the next millisecond digging her fangs in his neck, as Gadreel left Michael who fell to the ground wheezing and gasping for air. Gadreel was trying to get Gaia off his body who wrapped her legs around his torso, adamant in letting go, as she tried to drink more and more blood.
Finally, Gadreel rammed his back into the wall, which hurt Gaia, and made her slightly fall, before he pulled her off him and gave her a blow, which sent her crashing into the table.
Touching his neck, and feeling the two punctured holes, made by Gaia's teeth which quickly healed, he cracked his head sideways as he said, walking towards her slowly flexing his muscles as she tried to get away from him.
"You have been a bad, bad niece and I am going to make sure that you pay dearly for what you just did now.
The mayor entered the room, as he said,
"Do not lay a hand on my daughter. Step away from her now, Gadreel.
"She had the guts to bite me, I won't let that slide, Gavin. Gadreel said, still backing his brother.
I am going to have to fight you, if you don't stand down, you have violated your rights here and now you are currently trespassing. I must advice you to show yourself out. The mayor said as Gadreel paused again, and then faced him.
"Gavin, Gavin, Gavin. Always the supporting uncle and good dad. Trying to paint me as the bad person here in front of the kids. Wow. You are really getting the hang of this. I know it is because of you that, my son now disrespects me and your daughter also attacked me. It is all your fault.
"It is not my fault. I allowed you in here, because you gave me assurance that you weren't going to hurt your son, that you just wanted to talk to him, that is all, and now, you touched him, and also touched my daughter, who was trying to pull you away from killing Michael. Your own son? And yet you have the audacity to say I am the cause of all this. Why won't your son, hate you when all you can think of, is how to control him. the mayor said his tone rising higher each second as he tried to hold his anger.
Gaia immediately stood up, from the pieces of the broken table, and rushed to Michael' who was bleeding out profusely. Carrying his head on her laps, she quickly slit her wrists and allowed the blood to drop on Michael's mouth forcing him to drink. Michael's refused, shaking his head, but Gaia was adamant. He was going to die now, if he didn't heal, and she had to make sure, that he didn't die.
Just then, Michael's gasped as he shot up from Gaia's neck, looking around, as she saw her father and his father getting ready to fight.
Walk away from this Gadreel. Gavin said trying to convince him, as Gadreel glanced around him. he was surrounded as the guards had run in, fully transformed wolves as they growled waiting for the go ahead order from the mayor.
Michael looked at his father and smirked when he saw that his dad was surrounded. Holding Gaia's hand to stand up, all his wounds, (the claws from the wolf and his father's attack) disappeared making him to look and fresh and new.
"Like Uncle Gavin said, walk away from this, Gadreel. Michael said as he stood up fully with Gaia's beside him.
Gadreel surrendered as he raised his hands up saying,
"This isn't over, I will be back, he said zapping out of the room as the wolves wanted to go after it, but the Mayor stopped them saying.
"There is no need for that, he will loss you guys in the next ten minutes. He really is that good. Just return back to your post. He said as the wolves whined before leaving one by one, as they transformed back to human brings wearing clothes as they went back to their respective places.
"And for you two, the Mayor said turning to point at them, said,
"You two are off the hook, this time. Just clean yourself up, and we will talk about this. Michael, I am sorry about your dad, if I had known that he was going to do this, I wouldn't have let him in. the mayor said as Michael shrugged.
"Don't beat yourself about it, Uncle Gavin. Gaia and I are supposed to feel stupid for not able to deal with a vampire ourselves. That is all. Michael added as she punched him in his arms.
