Reverse Summoning

Inside a empty room in the Royal Palace, the Princess Ariel, the little Mage Anne, the Maid Syl, and other mob characters who dressed strangely as a demonic cult were preparing for the hero's invocation.

''Princess, are you sure about this?'' Said Anne looking apprehensively at the summoning circle becoming complete.

''Of course I do! Have faith in your princess!'' Ariel responded confidently.

Syl and Anne looked at her as if trusting her was the same thing as trusting the devil.

Ignoring the looks of the two, Ariel turns to the unimportant mobs that are finishing the preparations.

''Everything is ready?'' Ariel asks them.

One of the really unimportant mobs responds, ''Yes Princess! All that's left is for you to start the enchantment!''

Arial nods in satisfaction and takes the book from Anne's hands.

She positioned herself in front of the summoning circle and opened the book, Anne and Syl positioned themselves beside her on either side.

Anne tugs at Ariel's dress to get her attention, and Ariel turns to her, '' What is it, Anne?'' Ariel asked.

''Princess, keep in mind that you need to strongly desire what kind of hero you want to summon while reciting the incantation. The book explicitly says that this is the most important step.'' Anne replied.

Ariel pats Anne's Head with a smile, ''Okay, I didn't know that. Thanks, Anne!''

Anne lowers her face and hides it under her magician's hat, feeling happy and embarrassed with the affection and praise.

''It's not like I do this to earn your praise, you stupid princess.....'' Anne mutters under her breath.

A flash of envy passes through Syl's eyes, but it disappears as quickly as it appeared.

''All right, I'll start. Everyone ready?'' Ariel asked.

Everyone nods and then Ariel prepares to read the chants.

The Hero Summoning Ritual is an extremely difficult elder spell, but one that doesn't really need that much preparation. All it takes is to make a gigantic and complex summoning circle exactly as it is done in the book. The part that makes the ritual a difficult spell is the amount of Mana required, as they will be 'pulling' an entity from another world into theirs.

Fortunately, Court Mage apprentice Anne has a completely nonstandard Mana pool, It is like a great ocean of mana, while that of the other mages can be compared to a river

Ariel when she first read about this magic, she was under the impression that such magic has to do with using magical power to distort space itself, creating a wormhole between two different dimensions, but as she really didn't want to study physics again in this lifetime, she never even touched on the subject of space magic.

With everyone ready, she began to read the incantation from the summoning book.

<< Oh, you, who listen to my call

Let yourself be carried away by the power of the Gods

And let grace fall over you

In the name of the primordial God Unun, I summon you

To save this world from its evils, oh Hero

Answer my call, Hero of another world, and bring me victory.....and help me with the paperwork!>>

As the princess recited the short incantation, Anne flooded the summoning circle with an immense amount of mana. Rivers of blue energy left Anna's hands and went straight to the summoning circle along with the other mages present who helped her.

As soon as the princess finished the enchantment, the circle, once blue, glowed a beautiful golden color and began to pulse, as if it were alive.

''It's happening! Focus on the type of hero you want, Princess!'' Anne exclaimed.

''I know!'' Ariel responded excitedly.

Ariel closes her eyes and begins to think fervently about the kind of hero she wanted to be summoned.

'Please Gods of Gacha! If you exist, bring in this invocation a Hero who is good with paperwork and commerce, who will do everything I ask and let me play around while I leave all my responsibilities to him, please!' Ariel prayed.

Then, as if the Gods granted her request, the summoning circle bursts into light, blinding everyone in the room.

Ariel and the rest felt a huge disturbance in the area's mana, as if the atmosphere itself distorted and ripped.

After what felt like an eternity, the blinding light slowly dissipates, and everyone slowly opens their eyes and Ariel massages her eyes because of the blinding light.

''What the hell, couldn't they put a light filter on the spell or something?'' Ariel said annoyed.

''Princess, this.....I think you better stop massaging your eyes and open them at once, I think we have a little problem.'' Syl said next to Ariel, who was still massaging her sore eyes.

''Hm? What is it?''

Ariel then opens her eyes, and slowly looks around calmly, until she realized the situation and her eyes widened in surprise.

''WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED? WHERE ARE WE?!'' Ariel yelled.

The Princess, Syl, and Anne find themselves in a large room with three windows on the north wall; the room appears to be for two people, as there are two beds, one on the left and one on the right. Just in front of the bed, there is a desk and a bookcase on each side exactly the same.

''Anne....!''

Ariel looks at Anne with an accusatory, angry look, and Annie, sweating profusely, turns away nervously.

''I think I must have draw the wrong summoning circle....or something....but it's not my fault!'' Anne responds, trying to defend herself.

Ariel holds Annie's head and starts squeezing her cheeks with force, ''How do you draw the wrong circle! The book has literally categorically separated the types of circles, you Incopetent Apprentice of Court Mage! What you are? Say it!''

With a tearful face, Anne struggles to answer as her cheeks are being squeezed, ''A-An Idiosh sandwich...''

''Princess, please, now is not the time for that. We need to find out how we got here.'' Said Syl, stepping in between the two.

Ariel lets go of Anne's now sore and swollen cheeks and sits on the nearest bed.

''You're right. How the hell did we get here?''

She crosses her legs and puts her hand on her chin, and starts to think about the possible possibilities that led to them being teleported to another location.

''I think I know what happened....'' Anne responded while massaging her sore cheeks.

Ariel signaled for her to continue.

''I think that instead of summoning the hero to our world, we ended up being summoned to the world of the hero you wanted to be summoned, because if that wasn't the summoning circle, I'm sure it was the hero's return ritual.''

Syl raised an eyebrow, ''It makes sense, after all, you two felt it too, right? The mana present in the atmosphere that I felt the moment I opened my eyes is different from the mana of our kingdom. But that doesn't explain why the three of us were possibly sent 'back' to the chosen hero's world.''

''Ah, about that, I have a theory... you see, the three of us were vitally connected to the ritual. And since there was no hero to return, magic, systematic as it is, brought back anything connected with ritual. The Princess was the one who recited the incantation, I was the one who provided almost all the mana needed for the summoning circle, and you Syl are linked body and soul to the princess. We were all connected in one way or another. That's the only hypothesis I could think of.'' Answered Anne.

Ariel sighs, ''Well, we can't do anything for now. Anne, it's possible for us to go home, right?''

''Y-Yes! It's quite possible! Luckily this world has magic too, I just need a few weeks to get my magic back, and then we just need to do the return circle again and then we can go home!''Anne answered hastily.

''Okay, so no problem. Fortunately, the three of us still have our powers and spells, so we can defend ourselves if something happens.'' Ariel replied satisfied.

Syl and Anne open their eyes in surprise, ''You mean...even so far away from the kingdom...you can still use 'that' power?'' Syl asked.

Ariel smiles, then opens the palm of her hand wide and closes it tightly with a bang; a small gale formed in the room for just a second, sending sheets and papers on the desks flying wildly.

''See? Nothing to worry about!'' Ariel responded with a smile.

''That is great! With the princess here, nothing can threaten us!'' Anne said excitedly.

''Anne, don't be arrogant, we don't know anything about this world.'' Syl said, scolding her.

Ariel shrugs and lies down on one of the beds, relaxed, ''Well, let's wait for the hero to show up, we can explain our situation to him, maybe he'll help us with accommodation and food. Until then, let's rest.''

Syl and Anne nod in agreement, and the two without hesitation climb onto the bed the princess was in; Anne on her left side and Syl on her right side.

The three then close their eyes and start taking a nap.

''Damn, I'm so tired....'' Misaka said with a sigh as she reached her bedroom door.

Misaka Mikoto, a level five esper, who ranks as rank number three in Academy City, the most technologically advanced city in the world.

Her busy day finally over, Misaka just wanted to go back to her room and lie down to rest.

She unlocks the door, which only she and her roommate have access to, and enters the room, and then freezes with what she saw.

Inside her room, there were three people. One of them was dressed as a maid, she has short green hair, pointed ears like an elf, and emerald green eyes, she was standing with a stoic face doing nothing; the second person, was a little girl in wizard clothes who looks like she's straight out of a fantasy book, she has bright blue eyes and orange-brown hair, she is sitting on the floor reading the romance manga that Misaka had hidden.

And the last person is a beautiful girl with long golden hair, her eyes also have a golden tinge and she wore a long blue dress with a small jeweled crown on her head, but what left Misaka dumbfolded was that this girl was lying on her bed, which is now soiled with crumbs from the chips this girl are eating while playing a game on a device that looked like a Nintendo.

The mangas, the game, and the snacks were all things Misaka hid without her roommate knowing for her to have some peace and relaxation after a hard day.

And all of that was being used by two of the three girls who seem to have broken into her room.

Misaka's expression darkens, and small strands of lightning begin to erupt from her body with crackling sounds.

Noticing the entry of the person who probably lives in the room, Syl, Annie and Ariel stop what they were doing and look at Misaka.

''Oh! You're finally here, hero! I was tired of waiting! Good thing you had those snacks and hidden games, otherwise I'd be bored to death!'' Ariel says with a smile.

Misaka clenches her fist so tightly that her hands start to shake, the rays coming out of her body started to get bigger and more dangerous.

''You...'' She whispers.

''Hmm? Sorry, what did you say?''

''You fucking thieves! I don't know how you guys got into my room, but I know you're going to come out in a coffin!'' Misaka yells.

Without warning, like a pikachu, lightning bolts out of Misaka's body in rage, effectively targeting the three of them.

Even in the distance, people could see a bright light along with a bang coming from one of the girls dormitories.
