As Wren went about his task in the shed with a bounce in his step, Rowan battled the urge to find an excuse to hover. He knew the healing process couldn't be rushed if it was going to be permanent, but he was starting to get antsy.

Instead of going outside under the pretense of feeding this version of his birds when actually he just wanted to be closer if Wren needed him, Rowan settled for watching out the window as Wren's silhouette moved back and forth in front of the open shed door.
