The sun was warm on their skin...the duo were on their feet as they held each other's hands about to path ways... Melissa was all smiles but she knew it wasn't the same for the young princess... although the girl had a warm smile on her lips...she could tell it was only a facade...her eyes where glimmering.... there was that lonesome look only Melissa could decipher... was she all alone in this world? but she had a family...she had power...at least even if no magic at all...she was blue blood...and that was enough power for her... little Monica's fingers slowly caressed Melissa's... Melissa stared down at their hands .... although she could see the princess smiling outwardly...but her silence was speaking... screaming...her actions...inside of her was an ocean of tears... her soul...her entire being was a hollow opaque glass ... damn fragile...if touched at all by as soft as the coolest breeze... sorry...air...it will shatter into numerous pieces that two can no longer be joining together again...'please don't leave me' was what her actions was saying now...but Melissa can't stay... certainly can't take her along...it will cause chaos...
"I'd visit you again.... little monic!" Melissa managed to say... bringing the girl out of her fear....and worry cocoon.. Monica snapped up to meet her eyes and her smile glowed... Melissa could see how her shoulders rapidly dropped in relieve as she'd said those words...but she soon tensed up again
"how am I sure?...my magic powers are useless...I have non to be honest... and to stop deceiving myself...I'm already thirteen...I'm passed the age of waiting for powers to surface...in no time I'd be married... maybe I can't get married since I don't have no powers.....I'd probably be sold off like an antique off my family...."she paused "sold? I think I'd be gifted to a poor human farmer..."she suddenly said... Melissa gasped as the harsh and rash words from this little one hit her in the chest? those brutal realization... she couldn't process the thought...she didn't want to even imagine it but it seemed like it zeroed at the center of her thoughts....her body turned ice cold causing the girl to shiver and clutch her even tighter but looked up at her...
"it's ok...ones I can conjure you again I would...so you'd always know wherever I go..."little Monica was saying...
Melissa could almost cry... seeing her hopeful eyes beam up in determination....she felt guilty... that she'd made the girl believe that she had at least one magic...of being able to conjure her ....which wasn't magical at all...but the girl was now feeling like she was a fictional part of her Monica's story... little Monica was actually feeling that Melissa would need her protection... Melissa wanted to facepalm... and if she was in lilies now... watching this scene and someone else in her shoes...she'd burst into a historical laughter...one that showed...emitted nothing but mockery...to it's core... but she wouldn't...and can't do it to this naive little loner .....
Melissa's heart was searching...for something to ease this girl's pain...she was right when she said she had passed the age to expect powers.... despite being a goddess....she knew there was nothing she could do...a thin line formed on her forehead.. deep... like something popped in her head...she was definitely going to confront lord Allen for this...he was in charge of bestowing powers... something most have happened during her birth.....and as the life giver...if she could know...she'd perhaps find an alternative...
"hey there Melissa....I said it's fine"Monica assured jolting her out of her world of schemes ...she was already planning on how she was going to make the damn lord spill such to her..... but she immediately looked down at the girl and forced a smile...her eyes immediately burned brighter as something else popped in her head...
"how about you hold on to my ring for me..."she suddenly said shocking the girl and herself as she'd obviously not thought that through. ..but she didn't look like she regretted it...she smiled even wider and touched the ring on Monica's finger.... all the while... Monica wore it. ... Melissa had made sure it didn't change shades ... golden was the safest shade for Monica...
"I'd be back in a couple of days to claim my ring... and to give you a gift..."Melissa said... Monica smiled triumphantly... and hugged her tight again... Melissa was shocked the girl didn't ask what the gift would be .. perhaps overwhelmed by the first gift?! but maybe it was better this way... Melissa looked into the heavens...as if staring at someone in particular...Lord Allen!....with questioning eyes... curiosity and determination burning in them...but she soon averted her eyes to meet the girl who remained in her grip...
________
Melissa had left and was heading straight to Allen in the land of fantasy.....she didn't want to waste much time... not only so the girl could be happy...but she'd left the most dangerous weapon in the hand of a child... although the child didn't know what it is and would definitely protect it... she still couldn't help but be wary...she had to do this fast....
she'd disappeared into thin air turning into sparkling pebbles ... she appeared in the desert and looked around...she saw the diamond structure of a castle from afar and decided to head towards it...a lady...instead with red hair reached her before she could even take a step...
"Bianca..."she called out the lady's name...her smile immediately faded .... like they had a knife held to each other's neck ..the duo slightly frowned at each other...one light frown that looked like it would fade in seconds...
"Melissa..."the lady called her by the name... Melissa rolled her eyeballs...a smirk played on her lips and her eyes beamed in disgust...she was slightly angered but she managed to press it down
"I see you have some nerves...to call me by my name..."Melissa was saying...but she was cut mid way which seemed to anger her even more for being distracted.
"oh please...spare me that....I'm not one of your minions...I'm solely under the command of lord Allen..."she ranted...
Melissa was forced to laugh nonchalantly
