Chapter 20: What do I need to know

LEANDRA'S POINT OF VIEW

His deep, dark words halted me.

Master Hades in his topless posture, the comforter was just around his tummy, exposing a glimpse of his six-pack abs.

"O-Outside…"

His eyebrows arched. "Where are you going exactly?"

I was hesitating to tell him if I'd go to his sister or not but in the end, I hoisted my gaze up and looked at him full of courage.

"Lady Leticia invited me to train with her,"

He suddenly fixed the way he sat, and looked at me with his tempting glare as he rested his back on the headrest of his mattress.

"You met my sister, huh," he said. "Leticia has been training with Kahlila, Vesarius' lady. I might as well drop you there. Wait for me,"

I shifted my position on what he just said. I don't know what time exactly he came home but it seems like he hasn't had enough sleep yet.

"But you're resting, aren't you?" I inquired.

He shook his head and got up, making me see that he was only wearing boxers and had no other undergarments or bottom clothes. To my surprise, I turned around to avoid further casualties with him.

I heard him smirking. A couple of jiggling sounds came in.

"Go, hurry up."

I was contemplating inside my room what to wear. There are a couple of clothes inside my closet, yet I can't wear something like these… I mean, all of it was dresses and I couldn't wear one!

"Leandra," I heard his dark voice calling me. "Aren't you still done?"

"Coming!"

I just put on the clothes I saw, and came out seeing that he was already waiting outside looking at me nonchalantly.

We both passed down the dark pathway, but since it was morning, sun rays were coming inside from the window above. On the other hand, the eerie feeling I had was still there.

"Can't we just teleport?" I asked, feeling tired of walking down the whole castle.

He looked at me with nothing on his face. "Do you want to?"

"Wow, you know how?"

Both of us stopped walking. He hoisted his hands and spoke.

"Just make sure to put your hands on me tight," he said.

"That sounds so–"

I didn't know exactly what happened. Right after I put my hand on his arm, we just disappeared and after a moment, we were now already outside, at the lake actually, with some guards and even Lady Leticia plus a girl.

My head was spinning so hard. I don't know what happened but as far as I can remember, we teleported.

"Damn," I cursed softly.

Lady Leticia came forward. "So, you still haven't mastered your teleporting skill, huh?" she teased with a big grin.

Master Hades sneered. I saw the irritation in his eyes yet he didn't speak.

"Lady Leticia," I said then bowed. "I'm sorry, I was late," I asserted then scratched the back of my neck.

"It's fine. We haven't started yet, though. Xavier wasn't here," she sneered then looked in the air.

A girl who looked like our age came forward. "How about you train us, Lord Hades?"

"Oh, right! Aren't you busy, brother?"

Master Hades looked at us and raised his eyebrows at us.

"Not at all but I don't have time to teach," he said and was about to turn his head when I halted him.

"But you weren't busy…"

Suddenly, a group of men came in. It was with Fabian and another two men laughing as they got a sword stick and positioned themselves meters away from us.

However, when Fabian glanced our way, Master Hades signaled them, causing the three to come in just over a second.

"Lord Hades," the three of them said at a time.

Master Hades stood straight. We're just behind him.

"Train these ladies, gentlemen," he said, trails of commandment were seen.

"Basic training, ladies?" one of them asked.

Lady Leticia arched his eyebrows at them. "Do you take us so easily?" I couldn't find any humor in it but it seems like these men do.

My eyes glanced on where Master Hades was, I saw him glance at me and then went back to them.

"I'll watch,"

Each one of us has a basic wooden weapon to defend ourselves. Although Master Hades taught me the sample basics before, for sure, these two are pretty good rather than me.

In front of me was a man, tall and dashing, yes but far from the type I wanted. Because of that certain thought, I looked away and bit my lower lip.

"You're friends with Lady Leticia?" he asked as we both got ready to combat each other.

I didn't speak. When Lord Hades gave us a signal, he was fast on attacking me which made me drool on the ground. Lady Leticia and Kahlila stopped what they were doing and gasped.

Lady Leticia spoke, "Are you okay, Leandra?" she inquired with a touch of worry in her eyes.

I stood from my seat and stood straight, not minding the scratch I had. It didn't hurt actually, my scratch healed eventually which surprised me but only for a minute.

"I'm f-fine, Lady Leticia," I said.

I recalled what Master Hades taught me. My angles, my postures, and even the way I should hold a sword. I tried to put all of those thoughts behind my back, trying to focus when I attacked him with a slash on his face but he moved his body away.

Regardless, another attack came in. I can say, he was strong. Every attack of this man in front drains my energy.

"Take it easy, Lienzo," I heard Fabian say, like a warning. "She's not used to fighting. Just a beginner."

The one who was named Lienzo looked at me. "Oh, a newbie," he chuckled. "You know that's not how strong I was, Fabian," he asserted.

"Don't force yourself too much, Lady Leandra. Teach him the level after basics," Fabian said.

Lienzo nodded. "Alright, then. Let's take the attacking lesson, are you okay with that?"

Slowly, I nodded my head. Lienzo said something to me. Both Kahlila and Lady Leticia were fighting with the other guy and some while I remained standing, watching how Lienzo's body moved.
