Wendigo, a man-eating creature

Victor had a long day. Although it ended well, his body already felt very tired. The day before, Victor experienced stress and worry because he did not have enough money to survive.

The news of Luis disappearing also drained his mind. He thought of where Luis really went? Is Luis okay? Why didn't he give the news? Luis is the most passionate figure between himself and Eka. That is also the reason why Luis's absence is very suspicious.

The rest is a matter of residence. Because he didn't have enough money, he knew that he would not be able to pay the rent for the boarding house. The amount of money left behind may be enough for two months, but that doesn't include the cost of impromptu expenses. When it came to eating, Victor tightened the belt on his stomach.

Victor is grateful that Ken is offering a place to stay for free. Ken bought this apartment, so he said he didn't want to be paid. As long as Victor can take good care of himself during his stay with him and is also willing to share food with him, it is enough.

"Not everything ends well, but it's quite a relief," Victor said, staring at the ceiling of the room.

Victor closed and drifted into dreamland. He traveled again, as before, entering the realm vaguely.

This time the background Victor saw was different than before, but he felt familiar with the silhouette of the building in front of him. Although covered in fog, he could not have forgotten the exterior structure and green lights that illuminated the White Castle writing.

Here, White Castle looked even more gloomy. The plants dangling from the second floor to the first floor looked dead. The whole twigs and leaves are black. In the real world, the dried leaves and twigs will definitely fall down, and the color is not black but dark brown.

Victor didn't move his feet, but something had pulled him into the house. There was a kind of gravitational force that forced him to stand in the hallway of White Castle.

Victor turned his head right and left. The mist floated around. Sometimes it's like a gentle woman dancing.

Victor saw no one. Daniela, who usually hangs out in the guard room, is also not there. The lights in Daniela's guard room flickered. The color of the room is very different from usual. There are shadows of pink, black, brown, yellow, and green. Usually just plain bright white.

"What's going on here? Why am I here? The atmosphere is very uncomfortable," Victor muttered.

He tried to find a way out that somehow and inexplicably since disappeared. While walking around in circles, he heard someone's scream. There were other noisy noises that sounded terrible, making goosebumps goosebumps, until the nape of his neck was in cold sweat. His heart also beat feeling the terror of another world.

Victor unexpectedly stood in front of door number three.

"It was never open before," he muttered. He remembered that during his stay in White Castle, he had never seen the occupants of room number three and had also never seen the door of this room open in the slightest.

Victor heard more and more rowdy voices and thrilled his heart. He smelled a fishy fragrance. The red and black floated on the doorknob, like a swaying human aura.

The most terrifying thing of all that is that Victor's hand moves against his will. His hand moved to turn the door handle. The door opened. Victor swallowed. Want it to feel like running away from a situation that somehow makes him depressed.

"If this is a dream, I'd better just wake up. I slept at Ken's house just now. What did I come back here for?"

His confusion answered nothing. His brain told him to find out, so he opened the door even wider.

The fishy scent attacked his nose very strongly. One of his feet moved and stepped on the floor in the inside of the room. Another one is still on the other side of the door. His feet felt something flabby. Victor looked down, a dark red liquid flowed out.

Like a creek, the liquid is constantly flowing out. Victor's ears even heard gurgling sounds. The blood flowed smoothly like in a rocky river. However, that is not the case.

The room was dark. No windows. Victor didn't want to go in. He forced his legs to walk backwards, but his legs felt very heavy, and had even turned into stone.

Victor couldn't move and couldn't look away because his eyes saw that the human body in front of him had been torn apart. The terrible creature was crouching down and was biting the thigh. The creature tore the soft thigh until blood spurted in various directions. The creature glanced at Victor. It was terrible, because he wasn't bothered by Victor's whereabouts or maybe he didn't see Victor there. It's just that, Victor was really scared. His body was trembling, heavy, unable to move.

In addition, the creature is not alone. There was someone holding a chain behind the creature. The person stood leaning against the wall. The silhouette shows that the person is a woman. One hand held a black chain connected to the creature's neck, one hand held a cut human hand and she was enjoying her flesh.

Like humans who eat chicken thighs and chicken wings. The two creatures deliciously chewed and swallowed. The part of the human stomach lying on the floor was already scattered. The heart and heart are no longer in place.

The horrible scene faded after a while. Victor couldn't breathe a sigh of relief because he hadn't come out of that terrible supernatural world.

Victor looked at another person in the corner of the room. A woman whose eyes looked sad. The female has long hair. Victor estimated her height at about 170 centimeters. Victor felt familiar with the silhouette of the woman.

The woman standing in the corner of the room was wearing something around her neck. Victor tried to reach her, but couldn't. The room actually lengthened. The two creatures that were eating humans were simply erased, now only Victor and the woman were facing each other.

Their backgrounds turned into infinity. There is no sky, no earth. There are only the colors of the rainbow. Victor and the woman stared at each other. But Victor couldn't see the woman's face clearly. He can see clearly only up to the neck. Around the woman's neck was a green jade necklace.

The necklace shone and became a path that brought her back to reality. Victor opened his eyes and saw the window of the room in Ken's apartment.

The sky is still dark. Victor looked at the time. It was already five o'clock in the morning and Victor didn't want to sleep anymore. He was afraid that the nightmare would repeat. Victor took a deep breath, grateful to be able to return to reality safely.

Feeling strange and nauseous, Victor went to the bathroom. He washed his face with warm water.

Because his stomach was in an uncomfortable state, Victor went to the kitchen and fetched hot water from the gallon. He drank water while looking at the living room that looked cold and empty. There is only a gray sofa and a table, and a television above a cabinet cabinet. Everything was neat and there was no blood flowing on the floor.

Victor shook his head. "Damn! It's just a dream, but why does it feel so clear?"

In the dream, Victor had actually seen Wendigo's creature, Daniela and her brother Diego. The two were eating humans who had previously lived in room number 3. Then, the woman wearing the green jade necklace was actually D'Rana.

Victor looked at the jar containing coffee grounds. He decided to make coffee. He believes his nightmare will soon be forgotten if he refocuses on work.

Ken gave him permission to do whatever he liked. Ken told him to regard this house as his own. So, Victor did it. He promised to go shopping.

The aroma of brewed coffee awakens Ken. He was quite surprised when he opened his eyes.

"Why did you get up so early?" Ken walked out of the room half-awake.

"Sorry, I had nightmares and couldn't sleep," Victor said, readily confessing. Ken was already considered his closest friend, so Victor easily opened up about his personal matters.

A dream is something strange to tell with a stranger. Ken knew that too. Hearing Victor easily tell his dream, Ken learns that he has been considered an important figure in Victor's life.

"Can you burn bread? Let's have breakfast," Ken said. "Coffee will be better if drunk while snacking on toast."

Ken's suggestion was well listened to by Victor. Victor didn't mind making Ken coffee and also baked a few slices of bread for them. With this, Victor began to memorize the layout of the room, including where Ken usually kept bread and jam.

Ken's refrigerator is very neat. This is a little intimidating for Victor, because he often sees food and drinks not neatly arranged in the refrigerator in his boarding house. A change in the place of life can bring changes to him.

"Usually I don't eat breakfast," Victor said.

"why?"

"I'm not comfortable in the kitchen. I'm afraid to meet them. So, I just went out to go to the bathroom."

"Oh, so that's why you often buy coffee on work trips?"

Victor nodded.

"I like to drink coffee in the morning. This has been my habit since I was living in the village."

Ken is interested in Victor's hometown.

"Tell me about your hometown," Ken pleaded.

It became a conversation between them until time forced them to make preparations to go to work. Their relationship became closer as friends.
