Chapter 38: The Alpha’s Rage

At Oliver’s House

OLIVER POV

"Okay, Mom, stay calm, and Oliver and I will be there shortly," Rory said abruptly, hanging up. She looked at me frantically. Fear filled her big, beautiful eyes. She looked terrified. As her alpha, I wanted to hold her close and remind her it was my job to protect her. But I knew Rory was still getting used to being a wolf, and she wanted to hear a plan of action, not some pack promise.

"What are we going to do, Oliver?" she asked tearfully.

"We need to go there, now. I'll go grab the pack, and we will all head on over there. Come on," I said, jumping out of bed. I had to remain calm and show her I was in charge, and I had it covered.

I stood up and let the duvet cover fall to the floor, revealing both of our naked bodies. I grinned and grabbed my shirt off the floor. I couldn't wait to make love to my mate again. But that would have to wait. We had important things to deal with at the moment.
