I pulled up to the house around nine in the evening and River and Myles' car were still in the driveway.


When I walked inside, I heard laughter and snorting that could only be Selene. I smiled to myself and followed the sounds into the living room. They were all sitting around, playing some board game on the floor while music played on the television.


"Hey!" Selene jumped up and ran to me, throwing her arms around my waist. "Did you have a good day at work?"


I smoothed her hair back and placed a kiss to the top of her head. I could get used to this. "It was long and boring, and I'm glad to be home."


She squeezed me tightly before she released me and took a step back. "Did you want to play with us? We just started so you can jump in."


"I actually was hoping to steal Myles for a moment."


Myles looked at me with a worried expression and stood. "Yeah, that's fine."


Chapter 62: Aaren
