Chapter 65: Bradley

I finally arrived home around two in the morning. I was dog tired and just wanted Selene and my bed.

Quietly, I unlocked the door and made my way inside of the dark house. Everyone should be sleeping and I didn't want to wake them, especially my little minx.

Aaren had messaged me earlier in the day and told me that she was sick. He also said he was leaving work early to check on her, which surprised me. Aaren never left work early for anything, not even once when I got shot roughing up some thugs trying to move in on our territory.

In his defense, it was just a flesh wound.

I kicked off my boots and made my way to the fridge, fetching a beer and a sandwich that I assumed Rosie had left me.

We really needed to pay that woman more. Nevermind that we were already paying her a ridiculous amount and had even bought her and Alfie a house as a wedding present for them.
