Deficiency of the noble girl

Toshiko explained from the beginning the reasons she was in the kitchen. She told them about her inability in cooking and she asked the teacher for permission to use the kitchen.

"In short, I was not allowed to use the room so I just hang out here for no reason."

Kazuya and Hikari look at each other.

"I guess a perfectionist also has the thing they're bad at." Said Kazuya.

"I get that alot."

Hikari had no idea who this girl was. One thing she knew, she had seen her somewhere before.

"Hey, who's this girl? Your friend?" She whispered.

"Yamakawa Toshiko. She's an acquaintance."

Toshiko wasn't bothered on what was going on between these two.

"Anyway, what are you two doing here? uhh..."

"Minamoto Kazuya."

"Nakano Hikari."

They both introduced themselves. She had forgotten Kazuya's name, as for Hikari, Toshiko knew her from the rumor but never met her in person.

"Chiyo-sensei asked us to bring these things to her desk." Kazuya explained, while his hands were collecting all the cooking utensils that were left on the cabinet.

"Let me help you." Toshiko offered a hand.

"It's okay, I can carry all of them just fine."

Hikari refused her helping. She didn't want to burden anyone else. Toshiko had no choice but to obey.

All the tools were put into a medium-sized box. The box was lifted by Hikari all by herself.

"Let's go."

Kazuya was free and didn't do anything. His pride as a man was ridiculed for letting a girl did the heavy work.

"Hey are you sure you don't need any help?" He asked.

"It's fine, it's fine."

They took their way out of the room. Before reaching the door, Hikari turned around and made a suggestion to Toshiko. She suddenly got an idea.

"Um... If it's okay with you, I can teach you how to cook." Said Hikari awkwardly. Just like how a weebs feel after meeting their kind, she simply felt the same thing.

Toshiko was slightly surprised and elated at the same time. An expression of joy was shown over her face.

"R-really?"

"Yea I'm pretty confident in my skills."

"So when are you free?"

"Let's see.. Saturday?"

"Sorry, I have an appointment that day."

The appointment she meant was the date with Shinji obviously.

"Then, on Sunday, at my house."

"Okay. Umm... let's exchange contact. You may send me your address later." Toshiko pulled out her smartphone out of her skirt pocket. Hikari put down the box she lifted onto the cabinet and also took out her communication device.

The date and place had been agreed on. Toshiko was looking forward to it, while feeling a bit nervous considering this was the first time she ever talked to the infamous delinquent in school.

Kazuya and Hikari proceeded to go home together after finishing their task. They were walking down the closest path to their house.

Hikari was fidgeting, as if something was bothering her mind. She took a glance at Kazuya who walked beside her, seemingly she wanted to request a favor.

"H-Hey, Kazuya. I'm not that close with Yamakawa-san, so I thought I'd like to invite you too.. can y--"

"No."

"That was quick! I haven't even finish my sentence yet."

"I bet it'd be troublesome. What do you want me to do? Become a pillar at the side and watch you two do things??" Kazuya refused her idea solely to prevent any discomfort.

"Oh come on! Yamakawa-san gives off a well-mannered noble woman vibe. What if I said stupid things to her?!"

"You didn't even care about your reputation throughout the school, why are you even bothered by a single normal girl??"

"I-I want to change yknow! I'm doing my best to fix my manner. I even quitted smoking."

"No is no. I want to relax on Sunday, and Kaya would probably wants me to take her out to play."

"*Gasp.. Uhh.. Fine..." She gave up after he said about Kaya. The bond she formed with the cute little girl had soften her heart.

Kazuya managed to avoid any trouble, knowing that Sunday was the only freetime he got, ain't no way he was going to waste it on an unimportant matter.

However that was not the only reason he refused her invitation. He did that intending to let Hikari and Yamakawa-san having their time together. Plus it would be awkward to be the only boy in the group.

After walking for a while, they had reached the residential area where Hikari resided.

"I'm taking another route. We're separating from here." Said Kazuya.

"Thanks for walking me home." Said Hikari, appreciating his kindness.

"Our house happened to direct in the same way, that's all."

"But still, thanks."

Hikari walked her way down the road. Kazuya looked at her figure fading away from his sight before continuing his way home.

"She's so cute when smiling. It's a waste she didn't show it that much." He talked to himself.

Suddenly a car passed through him, a familiar car he had seen once somewhere. After a while, the car reversed itself and stopped right next to Kazuya.

"Heya, Kazuya-kun."

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Ayane."

"Pfft.. no need to be so formal."

As he expected. The Mercedes-Benz S Class owner was none other than Nakano Ayane.

"What are you doing here, Ayane?"

"I'm going to meet my sister. I happened to see you passing by so I thought I'd greet you just in case."

"Oh wow... How kind of you.." Kazuya made a sarcastic delighted face.

Ayane's expression seemed rather unsatisfied.

"..."

"...."

"Whatever, glad to see you, Kazuya. I'll be taking my leave. Goodbye and take care on your way home."

Ayane shifted the gear and pressed the throttle dashing her car forward, leaving Kazuya behind.

Talking to both Hikari and Ayane had made him realised:

"They really are sisters. Both have attractive smile."
