Chapter 97: I've Never Kissed Before

Jake Baker's eyebrows twitched sharply.

The pain from his shoulder spread throughout his body, as if all his bones were being crushed by a dismissive laugh, causing a layer of cold sweat to seep out on his forehead instantly. The pain turned his face pale.

He desperately held onto his wine glass to keep it from toppling, trying not to attract any attention from the other side.

After all, his status within the Baker family was indeed low.

They would only blame him for acting rudely towards the true heir of the Baker family who was right in front of him.

Jake Baker cringed in pain, barely managing to force a smile, "I wouldn't dare, Uncle Caleb, forgive me if my words were a bit out of line."
