082: The Next Morning, Date Application (First Update)_1

Rae Bennett touched his forehead with the back of her hand; it was scorching hot: "If the fever doesn't break in two hours, I'll call an ambulance."

Her hand was cool; she switched to her palm, pressing against Wyatt Wright's forehead repeatedly to check his temperature.

Wyatt Wright pulled her hand away: "Go upstairs and put on some thick clothes before coming down."

"Then you're not allowed to lock the door when I'm out."

He agreed, "Hmm."

Rae Bennett got up and kept turning back, clearly worried.

Fearing that the door would be blown closed by the wind, she even took off her phone case and wedged it in the doorway.

She ran upstairs quickly, then came back down just as fast, now wearing a thick, long down jacket and carrying a soft, pink blanket.

Wyatt Wright was already asleep. He was exhausted from the journey and, in the throes of a fever, he slept deeply.
