Rae Bennett's chauffeur drove them back.

Wyatt and Rae sat in the back.

"What's wrong with you?"

Wyatt lifted his head, "Hmm?"

"Ever since we left the hospital, you've been quiet." Rae had an innocuous face, but when she slightly furrowed her brows, the aggressiveness in her bones would surface, "Are you still blaming me for using Grandma Spencer to pressure you?"

This was the first time she brought up the issue since they started dating.

Their relationship had developed naturally, and given Wyatt's cooperation, she had almost forgotten it began with a transaction.

"No."

He was precociously mature, his thoughts not easy to guess, and apart from showing a bit of unpractised embarrassment during their intimate moments, Rae often found him hard to read.

"Then why are you unhappy?"

"I'm not unhappy, just thinking about things."

Rae wanted to understand him, to know him better, "Can't you tell me?"

Wyatt shook his head.

Rae had secrets, and so did he.
