224: After Liberating Nature, Sister Leader (One More) _1

Rae Bennett slept in until after nine due to her hangover, her head aching slightly. She got up, took a bath, and ordered room service. She only took a few sips of the porridge; she had no appetite. There were four missed calls on her phone, all from Wyatt Wright.

Rae Bennett stayed on the thirty-seventh floor, and Wyatt Wright had stood outside in the hallway all night. The hotel faced south with great sunlight. The early spring sun streamed through the windows, casting light and shadows on the dark blue carpet, intertwining elegantly and beautifully.

The door to the room was pushed open, and Wyatt Wright looked up.

"Rae."

He hadn't slept all night, his face laden with fatigue and a faint red rimming his eyes.

Rae Bennett's first reaction was surprise, but then she remembered they had broken up and quickly composed herself, adopting a cold demeanor, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm waiting for you," Wyatt Wright approached her. "Can we talk, please?"

He said, "Please."
