Invasion

The family watched as the projectile blew up their only hope, smashing everything to pieces while the thought of despair kicked in. Panic settled in the city with everyone breaking down into tears and screaming while the others started running aimlessly.

"We have to remain calm. The army is still holding the fort. We still have time to escape. Don't lose hope, love." The husband called out, readjusting his hold on their daughter before he started running.

"But... the hangar already exploded... what are we going to do now? Where are we going to go?" There was a hint of uncertainty in the voice of his wife but he pressed on forward with a clear purpose in mind. Right now, they shouldn't think about such useless things. What they should focus on was to escape out of the city and then make the next move from there.
