The sound of the fire engine, the ambulance, and sirens were all mixed in her ears. The police rushed up and looked down. Jake had been flattened. It was too late.
Ashley didn't know how she went downstairs. Vicky had been accompanying her and comforting her.
"Mrs. Ashley, it's none of your business. Don't blame yourself too much."
Vicky was also scared. Jake was so crazy that he jumped off the building. What the hell was he thinking?
She covered her face and slowly lifted her hair.
"Vicky, how's going downstairs?" Her voice was trembling.
It was a sunny day, but Ashley felt extremely cold. She held her arms and rubbed them up and down.
"The funeral parlor had taken Jake's body away. The doctor found the residue of poison in his body. Even if he didn't jump down, he couldn't live."
Yes, Jake said the same thing. Ashley still couldn't believe that a living man would commit suicide in front of her.
"What did the police say? Do they need my cooperation?"
