Chapter 309 Separation

"Okay, we won't go in. Thank you, doctor." Ashley held the baby's hand and thanked the doctor in a hurry. Then she rushed to the ICU in front of them.

Through the glass, they looked at Lucas who was lying on the bed. There were all kinds of medical instruments inserted into his body to maintain his vital signs, and the nurses were taking care of him.

At the sight of this, Ashley burst into tears, and so did Ferry. He held her hand.

"Mom, dad will be fine, won't he?"

Ashley's throat was choked with sobs. She didn't dare to say whether he would recover or not, but she couldn't pass on any negative emotions in front of the child. She could only nod heavily to give him hope, and also give herself hope.

"Yes, your father will be fine."

The two of them just visited Lucas through the glass. There was nothing else they could do.

When she left the hospital, Ashley was still in a trance. Her phone was ringing, but she did not respond.

"Mom, your phone is ringing."
