Chapter 27 In the Same Room

"It's time to get up, Freda!" A pair of soft hands gently patted Freda, making Freda open her eyes from the hangover.

"Shut up."

The woman chuckled, "Oh, my little lazy bug. Dad is back today. Don't you miss Dad very much?"

Dad?

Confused, Freda struggled to sit up and slowly opened her eyes.

The woman's face was not like the black and white photo of the Montevo Cemetery, but bright and energetic.

"Mom, mom?" Freda couldn't believe it.

"Honey, are you sleepy?" Cathy Ivans cradled Freda in her lap.

Freda lowered her head to look at her own hands. They were a child's hands.

"Was I reborn?"

"How could such a lucky thing happen to me?!" Freda thought in her mind.

Regardless of that, mother's embrace made Freda squint comfortably with a faint fragrance, which made Freda feel a little sad.

"All right, all right. My little lazy bug, it's time to get up. Don't fall asleep. Dad is going home today!"

There was unconcealed joy in Cathy's tone.

But when Freda heard the word "father", she was stiff subconsciously.

"When will dad come back?"

"Silly girl, dad is back. He is probably talking to your grandpa now. You go there after washing."

Being washed by Cathy, Freda was absent-minded. Freda was a little nervous to see Theon Ivans. She wondered if he was ready to kill.

As soon as Freda came to the living room, she saw her grandfather and the young man, Theon Ivans, next to him.

Freda stood still and couldn't call him father.

However, it was unusual for Theon to take the initiative to pick up Freda. He rubbed his face and said, "My dear daughter gets up! Let me see if you have grown taller these days!"

The intimate words made Freda feel extremely uncomfortable. She struggled to jump down from Theon's arms and hid behind Master Ivans.

"What... What's going on?"

Cathy also felt strange, but seeing her daughter's refusal, she did not force her.

"Forget it. Children often got up on the wrong side of the bed." Cathy comforted Theon and took him to sit at the table.

At this time, like an onlooker, Freda saw what would happen next.

Looking at the loving family, Freda shook her head and thought, "No, it's not true!"

Mom, Theon Ivans betrayed you, grandpa!

Theon Ivans was going to kill you. Look carefully!

"Ah!"

With a short scream, Freda woke up from her dreamland.

The sun had shone on Freda through the hotel's shiny glass, but Freda felt a little cold.

Wrapped in the quilt, Freda felt relaxed and looked around the room.

Last night... She seemed to have drunk, and then...

Freda searched carefully for the memory of last night, but she felt dizzy as if she didn't remember anything because of drinking too much alcohol.

It was rare for Freda to be so indulgent.

Because of the injuries Freda suffered when she was a child, Freda was in poor health when she was a child. As her master, Ghost paid special attention to her diet, and Freda had never drunk like this since she was a child.

It was the first time that Freda had drunk so much, so she was full of regret, totally uncomfortable.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Freda was on guard and asked in a low voice, "Who is it?"

Standing outside the door, Zed Smith suddenly felt that the voice was a little familiar. It sounded like Freda Ivans's.

However, this thought flashed through his mind, and he felt that he might miss Freda Ivans so much that he could even hear Emily White wrong. There was a huge difference between Emily White and Freda Ivans.

Shaking his head, Zed answered, "It's me."

Freda thought with surprise, "Why is it Zed Smith?"

Freda jumped off the bed, opened a crack, stuck out her head, and asked Zed Smith, "Why are you here?"

Zed Smith was also stunned. Did Freda lose her memory?

Freda opened the door for him on her last night?

She even took me to drink and talked nonsense in the end. Then Freda fell asleep like a dead person.

"I've been here all night."

"All night long?" Freda lowered her head to look at her clothes. Nothing was wrong. She checked the room. Nothing was wrong.

Zed Smith snorted, "Humph, what can I do with you? Stop thinking about it."

"Bah! I don't think about it!" Freda refuted. "Last night... I let you in?"

"Or what?" Zed Smith asked.

"Drinking is bad." Freda regretted.

"Well, you can leave now." Knowing that she was the one being silly, Freda began to drive Zed away.

Zed Smith suddenly thought of something disgusting and said, "Are you in a hurry to drive me away? We were in the same room last night, but you kick me down the ladder this morning?"

Freda widened her eyes and looked at Zed in disbelief. "Has Zed changed? How could he accept the fact that he stayed in the same room with me for the whole night?"

Zed Smith continued, "Not only that, you drank too much last night, and..."

"Shut up!" Freda stopped him, slammed the door, and interrupted Zed Smith.

Zed Smith couldn't help but smile.

The next second, he immediately restrained himself and frowned, wondering if there was something wrong with himself. How could he smile at Emily White?"

It seemed that he missed Freda so much.

Zed knocked on the door again and said, "I've apologized last night. Pack up your things and go back with me."

Hearing this, Freda was even more regretful that she had drunk. It was such a good opportunity for Zed to apologize, but she had missed it because of drinking?

"I don't remember!" But Freda planned to cheat. Who would know if Zed said it or not?

Zed Smith didn't expect that Freda could act shamelessly. He was surprised, "How can you do this?"

"That's me!" Freda said in a relaxed tone.

"Come in if you don't want to accept it," said Freda triumphantly.

Since Freda said so, Zed pushed the door open and walked in.

Freda didn't expect that Zed Smith would come in. She was changing her clothes. Zed Smith was frightened by her smooth back and turned around instantly.

"You!" In a panic, Freda put on her clothes and hit Zed Smith hard on his back.

Zed Smith knew he was wrong, so he didn't dare to fight back.

"Come back with me." Zed Smith said in a stiff tone.

"I know, I know! Stinky man..." The last two words were said in a very low voice.

On the way back to the Smith family's old house, Freda was still a little unhappy. She angrily looked at the window and ignored Zed Smith beside her.

Zed Smith was lost in thought.

Just now...

There seemed to be a scar on the back of Emily White's neck?
