The meet
The tears started to fall, and it became hard for him to breathe as his mind was assaulted by an overwhelming amount of emotions rushing right into his heart. His tears landed on her face while her tears flowed down her face.
"Stop crying, you're making me cry"
"Where were you all this time? How old are you now Nishika?" Shiro questioned, he started to cry harder as his voice cracked with each word he spoke. She smiled despite the tears continuing to gather in her eyes.
"I'm sixteen years old, we're the same age, after all, I'm your twin sister," she said.
The reunion was heartwarming. Shiro got off her stomach so she sat upright. They hugged each other in a soft and gentle embrace amid the burning trees.
"You went missing five years ago Nishika. We thought you were dead, you don't know how hard it got. Wait, are you with dad?!"
"No, I'm not with are you asking?" Nishika asked concernedly.
"That means he's gone…"
"Shiro, what do you mean, what are you talking about!!!"
"Two days after you went missing dad disappeared" Nishika's smile slowly faded when these words left Shiro's mouth.
Nishika looked up to the sky, "What about mom? The last thing I remember she was in the Diamond Heart Crest Squad, she's one of the best executioners in the world."
Shiro got up off the ground and put his hand out to help Nishika," I think it's best if you go see her yourself".Nishika hesitated, but she took his hand and got up.
"But I was gone for so long you think she wants to see me now," Nishika said with a bit of sorrow.
"If I called mom right now, and told her you were here she would probably cancel everything she has to do today to see you," he said with a contagious smile, she smiled and wiped her tears.
"Before we go to mom, I want you to meet someone"
"Sure, let's go then"
They walked down the street, and the people continued to gossip about him but their attention was on Nishika.
"Who is that girl with the golden failure?"
"I don't know but she's beautiful"
"Is that his girlfriend?!"
"No way that loser could never get a girlfriend"
The people in the street continued to talk but Shiro could only hear his twin sister's voice.
"So, I was scared to come back, but I did go to the house that I remember but someone answered the door and said that mom doesn't live there no more."
"Wait the person who answered the door had long black hair and had a small scar on their right cheek?"
"Yeah, if I remember"
"Dr.Virulent, she always does shit like this" Shiro mumbled
Shiro was pissed, clenching his fist and biting his lip as his anger slowly showed his negative aura.
"Woah, Shiro are you ok?" Nishika asked.
Shiro quickly snapped out of his rage," Huh, I'm fine" laughing it off, but Nishika realized something was wrong.
"So where are we going?" he asked.
"Hmm, we're going to my apartment" she replied though she was still concerned.
"You have an apartment?"
"Yeah, you thought I was living on the streets"
"I was thinking a cave or something cause you went into hiding," he said with a chuckle.
"You idiot"
They made their way off the main street into the neighborhood of Nishika's apartment. Walking down the same street Izumo and Satou had their fight with the minotaur. Seeing the big hole in the wall and the car on the other side of the street crushed like a soda-can made Shiro question the neighbor while Nishika questioned what the two brothers did.
"Ammmm, Nishika what happen-"
"I want to say I have no idea but I know who did this," She predicted and answered his question before he could fully ask.
"What did those two do?" Nishika sighed.
"Those two?" Shiro questioned himself.
"I should hurry back before they wander off again let's go, Shiro"
"I don't know where I'm going"
"Just follow me," She said as she leaped onto a house and then jumped from house to house.
"She wants me to jump on …. Urghhhhh" as Shiro watched her, his laziness kicked in as he continued to walk down the street and find his way by himself.
"She said it's a two-story apartment I'll just find it myself," He said, as he continued to scroll down the street.
"We're here, Shiro," she said, she looked back to see Shiro was gone.
"Where did he go? I swear he was just behind me" Nishika looked around for Shiro.
"Did he get lost? I'll go back for him, wait I should go check on Idiot 1 and Idiot 2"
She walked up the stairs and opened the door to see the two brothers lying on the floor.
"Huh, Nishika you're back," Satou said excitedly.
"Did you bring us breakfast 'cause I'm starving," Izumo said with a slight attitude.
"Oh… am I forgot, but I have… well had someone I wanted you to meet but he disappeared"
"Is this the apartment??" Shiro questioned as he stood in front of the run-down apartments confused. He heard Nishika's voice coming from inside the apartment, but he hesitated to walk through the gate.
"Ahhhhh!!!!"
"Huh" Shiro heard the male voice shout aggressively and started to worried about Nishika.
"I'm so hungry" Izumo complained.
"Nishika?" Shiro peeked his head through the door looking at Nsihika and then the two brothers with an odd stare. Satou returned the odd stare while Izumo stared intimately.
"Who are you?" Satou asked
"Oh ummmmm, well my name is Shiro Hoshiga"
"Where were you? I thought you were behind me the whole time"
"Wasn't able to jump up to the roof so I just walked" He lied blatantly.
"Wait, did he just say Hoshiga is this your brother Nishika?" Izumo curiously peaked.
"Satou, Izumo meet my brother Shiro Hoshiga"
"Ammm, Nishika he already introduced himself" Satou pointed out.
"I'm excited, ok don't judge me" She fluttered, suddenly Izumo got up and walked toward Shiro
"What's up Izumo?" Satou questioned him as he stood in front of Shiro staring him down while Shiro stared back cluelessly.
Suddenly Izumo punched Shiro in the face leaving Nishika and Satou in shock.
"What the hell are you doing Izumo?!" Nishika shouted and grabbed onto his shirt however Izumo kept his eyes on Shiro as he was lied out on the ground.
"What kind of brother are you?!, Nishika was missing for five years why weren't you searching for her huh?! You just forgot about her you even change houses you didn't want her to come home you didn't want to see her again?!" Izumo shouted as he started to walk towards Shiro while Nishika was pulling on his shirt trying to keep him away from Shiro.
"Izumo, stop!!!, it's my fault I could have found him and gone back home it's my fault just leave him!!" Nishika tried to reason with him but the harder she tried her eyes teared up while Shiro was still on the ground.
"What's your point?! Your mother is also to blame isn't she some type of famous executioner everyone should've been out there trying to find her and you walk in there as if you're welcome I would kill you and your mother if -" Izumo continued with his rampage but Satou struck him on his neck and then a turning kick to the stomach and traversed a kick to his chin knocking him out, Satou caught him before he hit the ground.
"I'm surprised that knocked Izumo out," Satou said, Shiro slowly sat up off the ground surprising Satou and Nishika.
"I thought you were out cold" Satou lied Izumo down gently and helped Shiro.
"Sorry about that he's a loose screw, I'm Satou Suzuko and he's Izumo Suzuko nice to meet you" Satou smiled and put his hand out for a handshake.
"Yeah nice to meet you too," Shiro scoffed and accepted his handshake. Nishika wiped her tears quickly before Satou and Shiro noticed.
"You ok Shiro?" Nishika worried.
"Yeah I'm fine" Shiro replied
"So this is the brother Nishika talked about, he seems calm for some reason he doesn't seem like much of a fighter, he seems… weak," Satou thought to himself, he watched Shiro while he spoke to Nishika. He continued to stare obliviously, he felt a slight unease.
"I don't know what it is but this presence and his aura seems fake, it's like a facade" Satou continued to analyze in his head.
"Nishika…" the woman stood in the doorway with long yellow bedhead hair and a green-bladed scythe on her back.
Nishika's eyes widened as she froze in shock, "M..M...Mom?"
"Nishika!!"
