Humbled
Suddenly a knife was swung at Satou's face which caught him off guard, he barely had enough time to dodge it.
"What the…, I thought Shiro said they were trying to knock us out, that was a sword or something they trying to kill us… why can't I feel their footsteps, I can't tell how many, I can't run into the darkness, and why haven't the others jumped out by now, what's going on…."
Suddenly Satou remembered what Akemi said about God's hand. Satou's confidence started to disappear and he was slightly scared.
"Shit I thought he was joking, …Izumo, they trying to …" Before Satou could finish his sentence, someone drove their fist into his stomach. While Izumo was trying to detect where they were, he was trying to look around but he couldn't see or sense them. Suddenly a knife was thrown at his eye, he barely evaded the knife, but it still sliced his face.
Satou was getting beat around, the fists continued to be thrown. Satou couldn't evade them and Izumo started to get the same treatment as he started to get beat around. Between all the punches Satou was getting, he opened his eyes to see the knife plummeting for his face that he couldn't dodge.
"Satouu!!"
Despite the darkness, Izumo was able to look across to see the knife plummeting for his brother's face, he tried to reach for his brother but was punched in the face and then thrown to the ground.
"Is this really how I going to die?" Satou questioned
Suddenly the knife was hit out the person's hand.
"Huh…"
Suddenly someone grabbed onto Satou's shirt, threw him over their shoulder, and ran.
"What the hell was that?"
"Whoever it was, they broke my arm"
"Yeah and they took me down smooth too"
"They're fast that has to be someone from the student council, hopefully, it isn't Jafarie, let's move out"
May and Nishika stood under the light post outside the school while they were trying to catch their breath, Nishika looked back towards the school worried.
"Shiro and Akemi turned back to get Satou and Izumo. I hope they are alright" Nishika worried.
"They are going be fine, the girl's dorm is right there once we get in the dorms we're safe" May pointed at the huge hotel-like building.
"Woah, it's so pretty. The dorms are in the forest in front of the school I didn't even notice and it has the same bricked path but it's pink. That's so cute!!!!" Nishika admired
"Nishika quiet down–" May heard a rumbling in the bush
Suddenly the bright green eyes illuminated from the darkness of the forest which struck absolute fear into May's heart.
She turned to Nishika with absolute fear in her eyes.
"The graceful demon …Nishika run…" May said softly
"When…" Nishika whispered back, she started to tremble
"Now!!!" May shouted. They both turned and sprinted off, running towards the dorms. The eyes in the forest watched them flee
"Huh…"Nishika was shocked as the woman with green eyes appeared in front of her with a blank expression on her face, closing the space they had between each other.
The sudden sound of a shotgun caught the woman's attention, May had the shotgun a few inches away from her face.
The woman stared May in the eyes showing no fear.
"Shoot." the woman said.
"Why am I hesitating?, why am I shaking? I'm s.. scared" May hesitated under the pressure then the woman slowly pulled out a small dagger from under her dress. Although Nishika and May saw this, freight had them frozen.
"Hmm.." something else caught the woman's attention. Suddenly someone else dashed and swung their sword at her. She leaped back to create space, the beautiful black hair blew with the gentle night breeze.
"I'll deal with her from here." the girl in her pajamas said.
"Let's go Nishika" May grabbed Nishika's hand and ran off.
"Shall I allow you to change out your night clothes?" The woman said but the girl didn't respond.
"May, is it ok to leave that girl by herself" Nishika worried.
"She's a B-class executioner she's going be fine" May replied
"But that demon has to be at least an "A" class right?" Nishika questioned
"The graceful lady is only a "c" class demon Nishika…" May replied. Nishika's pride was damaged, realizing that a class "c" had her fearing for her life.
They made it safely to the girl's dorms, Nishika at the door, looked back into the forest worrying. Meanwhile, May was in the elevator.
"Hi Nishika you coming?" May asked,
"She's so carefree, just a second ago we almost lost our lives then we just left another student by herself with the same demon that… " Nishika felt uncomfortable. She walked into the elevator with May as her discomfort showed on her face May took notice.
"Nishika, the truth is… I know you thought you would come to this school and get the amazing school experience like going to class, studying, and enjoying the free cafeteria food but when studying academically to be an executioner is living torture, you're going be hunted by your allies, enemies and the people you're trying to protect. Everywhere shows you how wonderful all this is and tells you how great you can be if you go study to be an executioner. Still, no one tells you how desperate the students are for these stupid stars and what they would do to get them, and the walk to the dorms at night is even worse, demons or students could be lurking in the forest waiting for prey." May pushed reality into Nishika's head.
"It's killed or be killed, be strong or be weak the strong beat on, be feared not respected, but we're here my… well now it's our roooooommm!!!"May shouted excitedly. She opened the door and Nishika saw the luxury room and her eyes sparkled.
The beautiful cream walls, wooden floor with a huge flat-screen TV, and two king-size beds. Nishika jumped onto one of the king-size beds bouncing up and down as she rejoiced.
"And this is the bathroom"
Nishika sprints out of bed to see.
"Woahhhhhhh, It's a white bathroom with an actual shower. That's sooooooo coooool" Nishika continued to rejoice.
"An actual shower…anyway, I got to call the boys to make sure they got in good." May picked up the phone while Nishika was admiring the room, looking through the closets, pressing random buttons on the remote to the TV, and jumping up and down on the bed like a child.
"Yo Yo May we got the two idiots and we're good" Shiro answered.
"Ok good, well see you in class tomorrow," May said
"Ok, bye," Shiro said and hung up the phone.
"Man you two are some idiots, you thought we were kidding or something. Sometimes those people kill you and just throw you outside by the gate and then it gets written off as a demon attack." Akemi stretched his head out of frustration.
"Hi Shiro" Akemi called for Shiro as he sat on the bed
"Yo" Shiro answered from the bathroom
"You think we should let them crash here for now cause their room is 245 and after that stunt, they might do something i don't know what but," Akemi suggested
"They got to go to their room regardless their room key is only valid for tonight and they need to be there to get their student ID and everything for school tomorrow," Shiro replied
"Oh yeah" Akemi sighed
"My question is if our room going look like yours cause this room looks amazing," Satou said
"All the rooms in the school dorms are identical, your room isn't going to have a TV, a couch, or a gaming console. It will be air-conditioned but we had to buy the other things ourselves, we got a huge mall behind the dorms. We could show all that tomorrow but for right now we have to get your dorms" Akemi responded.
"We don't need your help finding our room, I think you did enough," Izumo said which had Satou confused.
"What you mean we don't need their help… we almost died without them earlier" Satou stated
"All we have to do is take the elevator to our level. Satou, come on, don't be so dependent" Izumo said.
Shiro stepped out of the bathroom, drying his hair as he just took a bath and was only wearing a towel.
"Bro, go back in there and put on some clothes!!"Akemi shouted
"I'm wearing a pant under my towel idiot!!" Shiro shouted back.
"But if they say they got it, we should let them go" Shiro questioned
Akemi looked at them and sighed.
"Ok but as soon as you get in your room call us, just type 132 in the telephone just so we know you got in safe" Akemi stressed.
"Ok," Izumo said, he got off the ground and walked to the door.
"Alright, see you losers tomorrow," Shiro said as Satou and Izumo walked through the door closing it behind them.
"They are going to be fine right?" Akemi worried
"They better be, so want to play some ones?" Shiro said as he picked up the controller to the game console.
"Of course, don't sit down yet, get some soda from the fridge," Akemi said

"So what you thinking Satou?" Izumo asked they got onto the elevator
"What a night, I think my nose's broken" Satou looked into the mirror in the elevator and gently touched the bruises on his face and arms.
"Ouch-"
"To believe we got to go to school with cuts and bruises tomorrow, this is fun" Izumo smiled.
"Well, I'm glad at least one of us is happy, it feels like one of my ribs is broken" Satou poked his chest, grinning in pain
"So this is it huh?" Izumo asked
"Yeah… our room 245" Satou replied
They stood in front of the door as this moment was special to them
"Well, let's go inside hopefully we'll have a shower," Satou said
"If we're lucky it has hot water" Izumo laughed
"Yeah right" Satou replied
They opened the door to see the room was identical to Satou and Akemi as they said; two king-size beds, wooden floors, a fridge, and two closets.
"No way…"Izumo's eyes opened
"HAHAHAHAAHHAHA" Izumo ran inside excited like a child
"Satou, they weren't lying" Izumo rejoiced
"Wait… that means we have… a bathroom with a shower" Izumo and Satou stared at each other as their faces lit up in excitement.
They stood in front of the bathroom staring.
"Are you nervous?" Satou asked
"Yeah" Izumo replied
"You open it " Satou said, his hands were shaking
"Ok" Izumo put his hand on the doorknob and took a big breath
"Ready?"
"Yeah, Yeah"
Izumo opened the door to the beautiful white bathroom with a sink and a huge mirror, a pretty white toilet and a huge shower. They started to jump around celebrating, running around the room, jumping up and down on the bed, opening the closet and fridge door behaving like children.

They lay across their bed in their robes.
"Satou, this is amazing, the shower had hot water and they had robes. This bed is huge and the AC is actually working. This is the life" Izumo said.
"Despite the beating we got earlier, this is the life I could get used to, but I don't want to get beat around like that again though, I don't know if it's because we got caught off guard. This school is amazing though, we're getting free food, drinks, showers, a place to stay, and things we still got others things-"
Suddenly the snores of Izumo interpreted Satou.
"Sigh, well I should get some sleep too"
