His eyes trailed to the person in front of him. She had the prettiest face he had ever seen. It wasn't the conventional sort, she had a slight whimsical air to her that he couldn't quite place a finger on. One that made anyone blushed at the sight of her, including him except he had a veil that covered his face.

"That's the person you're going on an apprentice with. Apprenticeship, all young beings would have to," the Queen Goddess said and he nodded, he wasn't that young anymore. 1001 years, that was his age. Yet to these beings, he must seen like the baby of the lot. He was the being that they've waited ten millenniums for. And true to his form, he excelled at every single thing that he was tasked to. He was meant to rule the entire world - all nine realms of it.

She - however, was something different altogether. She was a good 12,000 years old older than the oldest being in this place and was the sole apprentice of the being that existed way before time was formed.

It was rumoured that she was Special, that she was the chosen 'one' and she was meant to take over that being. However, as Fate would have it or Fates, since they were the triplets who meddled with everything. That being had vanished without a trace, leaving her with little to no support except for her fleet of white army who served her and her only with a fierce loyalty that rivalled her name.

Honestly, if they were to truly ponder. She and she alone, held the highest power in this realm given the sheer force of that army that was put to deep slumber. Which was why, she was held by everyone, including the Queen Goddess with respect and was always best viewed, and appreciated within, at least, a good twelve arm's length.

No one ever dared to venture too close to her given the rumours that they've also heard about her unpredictable temper and personality.

He was thankful that the veil hid his face - however, he had the inkling that she knew that he was looking at her. Yet, he also had the inkling that she didn't cared one bit given the fact that perhaps, she was used to these sort of attention or, perhaps, she was simply beyond that.

He felt that it was a bit of both - the former and the latter.

"Alright, dearest. I can only step inasmuch as this far. The rest of the journey is up to you, they're in your hands. I've pleaded with Fates to spare you from any added misery. However, their smirks didn't seem very reassuring."

He smiled thinly. His face was unreadable, that much his Queen mother knew and she smiled and let go of him reluctantly along with the other beings.

There were at least 20 of them who had stepped into this apprenticeship to hone their skills and mastery of the hidden arts. She wasn't known as the war goddess for no reason.

Loralie, a name that would soon be erased.
