Boom

"Oh?"

The Myriocell began to glow brighter and brighter as it vibrated in Slate's hands.

"TAKE COVER!!!" Milo shouted, ducking behind a pile of stone rubble.

Then the Myriocell exploded in Indra's face, the explosion shaking the entire room and sending a shockwave outwards that threw aside the rubble.

When the explosion ended, smoke rising up from Slate's face and arm, Milo and Amiyah came out from hiding.

"Slate? Are you okay..?" Amiyah asked.

Slate turned and faced them, dropping his hand to his side as if the explosion never happened.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's continue looking." Slate said.

"What the hell?!" Milo exclaimed, "you just had a Myriocell explode in your face and ya acting like nothin even happened?!"

"It's really no big deal." Slate said as he began to search again for more Myriocells. Then he saw one on the floor where rubble had been a moment ago, blown aside by the blast. "Ah, here we go."

"Get down, it's another bomb!" Milo said, hiding.

"No." Slate said, raising up the cell and observing it. "This cell seems to be in perfect condition."

"Really?" Amiyah said, excitement soaked into her tone.

"Boo-yah, baby! We are rich!" Milo cheered, coming out of hiding.

~Warning, incoming fire.~ Indra spoke suddenly.

"Get down!" Slate ordered, jumping in front of Amiyah just as there came a loud clang as something ripped through the ceiling and slammed into Indra's back before tumbling to the ground.

Milo inched towards it. "What is that?" He asked.

Slate looked down at it. "It's a bullet." He said, by it had been deformed from when it struck his back. He looked up, seeing a faint ray of light coming through the ceiling.

"Alright, everyone get behind me." Slate said.

"Why?"

"Just do it."

Milo and Amiyah got behind Indra as he raised his arm. Metal plates folded outwards forming the Myriocannon that began to charge up with a hum.

— — —

"Hit anyone, then?" One man asked the sniper.

"I don't think so. But it is quite crazy how these bullets can go clear through each floor to the bottom." The sniper said, loading in another round.

"Your telling me. Crazy how far technology has come, huh?"

"Yeah, with this crap we could fight even the Ligrass!"

"Yeah, and with Krishna and Vishnu leading us, we are unstoppable!"

*KOOM*

A radiant blast of golden light engulfed the entire facility, wiping the building out of existence, including the soldiers.

"HOLY SHIT!!!" Milo roared, looking up. Everything was gone above them, the entire facility erased by one attack, the gray sky now to be clearly seen above them.

"Impressive." Came a voice.

Slate looked over to see a gold Utopian hovering above them.

"Oh shit, that's Krishna!" Amiyah yelped.

"I must say, they power of your Utopian is quite strong. But, I don't know what unit that is. You mind informing me?" Krishna spoke.

"It's called the Indra. I actually don't know much about it myself, I only just woke up yesterday." Skate said.

"What? Do then you have no memories?"

"Yeah, and then the Indra system told me my mission only for me to find out it was from something like a hundred years ago."

"Ah. Now I understand. And then, these people came and recruited you. You, having no other idea as to what to do, accepted their request. Am I wrong in this assumption?"

"No. You are not."

"You know, you should come join up with my faction. We have many more resources and I it current objective is finding our bodies. Their faction's leader is just a greedy, foolish brute with no true purpose other than foraging scraps."

"The boss is not! He is a wonderful man who cares about all of us!" Milo roared.

"Silence, worm." Krishna growled, his visor flashing.

Slate got the feeling that Krishna didn't even view himself as a human anymore and as more of a god. At least, that is how he acted.

~It would be quite beneficial to us to join their ranks rather than these savages. They have two other Utopians and more resources, plus info on how to find the bodies. It would be the smart move to-~

"Sorry, but I'm gonna have to decline your offer." Slate said.

~Why do I even bother.~ Indra said bluntly.

"Huh. Well, that is too bad. It would appear I'll have to kill you then, both of you." Krishna said.

"I don't want to be enemies. Just let us go and we will be on our way." Slate said.

"You killed two of my men."

"You attacked us first."

"You are on our turf."

"I don't give a shit. Look around you, the world is in the worst state it's ever been. There are no territories."

"If that is what you believe, then you are a fool." Krishna said. "Tell you what, I'll be kind, if you hand over the Myriocell you found, I will be merciful and let you go."

"Merciful my ass. You aren't a god." Slate said.

"Except that I am." Krishna spoke with all seriousness.

"Alright. Step back." Slate said, Krishna irritating him.

"What? Are you gonna fight him?" Amiyah asked.

"Just get back and hide."

Indra's thrusters came on then as he leaned forward, before exploding into the air.

"Yeah, kick his ass!" Milo roared.

Then a crater formed where Slate had been, the force of the take off obliterating the floor.

"Aaaah, no, don't kill me!" Milo cowered.

"Come then." Krishna spoke, brandishing his spear, "let us decide who is greater."
