Supper

Whilst Da-eun waited for supper time, she thought of her apology. I should have apologised sooner. He's a monarch, he could have me exiled at any time, like in those books... She thought. As she pondered and pondered, she eventually became bored.

"Ha-Jin, what did you think of my apology?" she asked.

"It was quite... interesting, my lady,"

"That must mean it was amusing to you, was it not?"

"Of course not, my lady!" Ha-jin chuckled.

"What did I do wrong?" Da-eun sighed.

"Maybe you could have been a bit more graceful," Ha-jin said with a slight grin on her face.

"Might I know when supper is ready?" Da-eun wanted to eat already. Food relaxed her.

"We shall have supper in one or two minutes, my lady," Ha-jin replied. Soon, those minutes passed. As they were walking and walking they'd arrived. Da-eun sat down and started to talk to Da-young.

"Da-young, how old are you? I don't remember from the head injury,"

"I am 22,"

"And where do we live? Surely not at the palace,"

"Of course not. We are nobility, though. Our estate is not far from here. We are only visiting the palace for tea. It's tomorrow,"

Da-eun was stunned. First, a servant, now she's nobility? Finally, she'd spoken once again.

"I see. Well, I am excited to make everyone's acquaintance," She said. Da-eun didn't know what was happening. But whatever was happening, she knew she needed to get comfortable. She continued to ask Da-young questions.

"Do we have any siblings?"

"Yes. Our brother, Da-Hyun is staying at his home for the time being. He will surely visit soon, though!" Da-young sounded eager for her brother to visit.

"And how old is this Da-Hyun?"

Da-eun was curious to know. "Da-eun, that's no way to address your older brother. He's 27. "As Da-eun droned on and on, Da-young had had enough.

"I suggest you do not ask questions every second and eat your food. You've barely touched it."

"My apologies," Da-eun responded. As Da-eun silently ate, she thought of how she'd ended up here. She was still in denial. How is it possible that I've ended up in the Joseon Dynasty? This must be some reality show... She thought to herself. Finally, she'd finished her food and returned to her bedroom, escorted by Ha-jin. If this is a reality show, maybe I should play along. If this is real, maybe I should try to find a way back. I can't stay here forever, she whispered to herself. Then again, there's a chance it might not be. Ugh, all this thinking is making me dizzy-- Da-eun fell asleep.

"Oh... It's already morning?" Da-eun yawned. I should think about how I can go back... Let me think, how did I get here? Oh! I remember. I was in my garden and I held a rose. How could I travel through time by being pricked by a rose thorn? Ugh, I'm getting dizzy again... Da-eun said in her thoughts. "You are awake!" Da-young suddenly came bursting into the room. "Da-Hyun is here!" Da-young exclaimed.
