Although it had been a few weeks since the catastrophic events of that day, Zoe couldn’t help but replay everything that happened over and over in her head. Margaret had been arrested in front of everyone at the engagement party. She screamed and yelled as the police dragged her into the back of their car. The guests began to talk, and whispers ensued. It only took about half an hour for the entire charade to come to a close, and when it did, all of the guests were asked to leave, and the entire family including Zoe herself had to go to the station to answer a whole bunch of questions.


Zoe chose not to leave anything out. She told the police absolutely everything about Margaret from beginning to end, including all of the information she herself gathered. She wanted all of this to be over with and she didn’t want to hold on to anything. Dylan did very much the same, except his story with Margaret took significantly longer to tell.
