Chapter 29 Lilian Lewis

"Elder sister!"

Eliza took Liam's hand with the intent to return home when suddenly she heard a girl's voice.

Liam raised his head and was greeted by a girl around nineteen or twenty years old. The girl has a melon seed face, fair skin and an almond eyes. She was a rare beauty.

"Lilian what are you doing here?"

"Elder sister, I was sure I will find you here. I went to take a stroll and thought maybe you would be here, so I came to pick you up."

Eliza smiled after hearing Lillian's reply when she heard Lilian's voice.

"Look who I met today?"

Eliza moved to the side so that Lilian could meet Liam and said cheerfully.

"I met Liam here when I was paying a visit to my brother!"

"Liam?"

Lilian frowned after she heard the name. She seems to remember this name.

She squinted her eyes and looked beside her elder sister and saw a young man in his 20's standing beside Eliza and immediately her face twisted in disgust.

"Elder sister, what are you doing? Do you have any sense?" she instantly started to shout at Eliza. "How can you have any contact with this murderer? Do you know if Madeline finds out that you are sheltering him she will definitely look for trouble with us."

Although Lilian was only a teenager when that incident happened, she still remembers a lot of things. And that's why she didn't like Liam for killing her brother to usurp the company.

She very much detests him!

Liam also looks at the girl. She was his 2nd aunt and Eliza and his father's little sister; even though she is younger than him she is still his aunt in seniority.

Of course, Liam doesn't pay much attention to her. Because they both don't have a good bond as he has with Eliza. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to keep her mouth after uttering such words against him.

"What do you know? You were just a kid when things happened. Don't talk nonsense if you don't know anything." Eliza was unhappy with Lilian's behaviour towards Liam and scolded her.

"Why didn't I know? I know everything. Don't treat me like some child." Lilian was rebuked when she saw her elder sister taking Liam's favour.

"Liam doesn't pay her words any heed. She likes to babble anything that comes to her mind."

"It's okay. I know it's her habit so I didn't pay any heed to her." Liam smiled when he heard Eliza's words and ignored Lilian.

"Let's go home, aunt will make a good dinner for you." Eliza took Liam's hand and started walking out of the cemetery.

"I won't stay in the same house as him." Lilian shouted watching them leaving. But, Liam and Eliza continued to walk as if they didn't hear anything.

Lilian stomped the ground in anger and followed behind them.

Eliza and Liam chatted on the way happily. She asked him about his experience when he was away from here and Liam answered concealing about a few matters.

A few minutes later they reached their house. The house wasn't any grand looking house, just a simple one-story two-bedroom home.

Eliza's salary wasn't much and only started to improve sometime later that's why she has to live in this type of condition. Even though she had lived her life in prosperity, however, she still didn't grumble when her condition started to regress.

She stood her ground against Madeline and other big Families and gave her brother the proper burial which he deserves.

Eliza opened the lock at the door and entered the house with Liam following behind her.

Lilian also enters after Liam, staring at Liam with her fury in her eyes.

"Lili, come here and help me wash this vegetable!" Eliza called out for Lilian from the kitchen.

"Not doing!"

*Humph~*

*Thud~*

Lilian snorted and turned around entering her room, she heavily closed the door behind her.

"This girl~" Eliza sighed looking at the closed door.

"Give me, I will wash it for you."

"Here, Thank you!"

Liam took the vegetables from Eliza and washed them at the sink before giving them back to her.

"Lili come and dine with us."

After half an hour when dinner was ready Eliza invited Lilian as she carried the dishes to the table.

Lilian peeks from the crack between her door and after waiting for a few seconds she comes to the dining room and sits on her chair.

"Elder sister, did you forget that Madeline warned you last time? If she finds that you are hiding him she will surely pressure you and..." Taking a few bites Lilian commented but was interrupted by Eliza.

"Okay, ~ didn't I tell you we are off this topic already!" Eliza exclaimed, hearing Lilian's remarks. "Don't say anything if you don't know about it. It is clear framing so that they can dump all the blame of murder on Liam and can seize brother's property."

"Besides, how can you say that? Elder brother helped us a lot with our study and living and Liam has returned, he must have faced some problems when he was out. So, how can I let him starve alone?"

"It doesn't matter how much I advise you, you won't understand. Just wait when Madeline comes knocking at your door then you will understand my words. Just don't drag me with you." Lilian pouted angrily and looked at Liam when she became stunned.

After paying him some attention she realises another party was also good looking with decent height, not too small, not too tall, just perfect.

Wearing a casual shirt and pants. Fair looks with sharp eyes and cheekbones giving the young master type of vibes.

She snorted at him!

If it was some other day she will definitely pay him attention given how handsome he looks.

'Humph~ Trash! What's the use of good appearance? Just a facade with a rotten heart!' she thought while eating.

"Elder sister, aren't we going shopping. You know that I am meeting my friends for a gathering, right?" Lilian asked Eliza. There is no need for her to think about this trash. Why waste her mood on him.

"Oh~ about that!"
