Just when Liam and Eliza were talking and discussing their opinion on the dress. A voice came and interrupted their conversation.
"Eliza, I didn't expect you would come."
Liam and Eliza turned their heads to look at the person when their eyes caught a fandom man around twenty-five or twenty-six donned in a three-piece suit walking toward them.
He wasn't very tall and handsome, but he sure has a rich second generation vibe. Which makes the people revere him wherever he goes.
"What has to do anything with you? It is my problem if I decide to come or not, and I will appreciate it if you call me Miss Lewis rather than Eliza. That name is only for the people close to me; it makes me uncomfortable when other people say that other than my family. It is good if you understand!" Eliza said with a small frown on her face after she noticed him.
Liam can see from the look his aunt was giving. She doesn't want to stay and talk to this person. However, the young man doesn't seem to understand this and continues to approach Liam and Eliza. Reaching them when he saw a man standing beside Eliza his eyes gleamed unkindly but he hid it behind his smile and said, "what are you talking about? I am sure we are close enough not to use any honorifics between us."
"And who is this young man beside you? I am sure I haven't seen him before, is he your boyfriend perhaps?" The young man asked.
Eliza was stunned after she heard him saying the first half of his sentence and was disgusted with him, but when she heard his latter half; calling Liam her boyfriend, a red hue appeared on her cheek but she quickly rolled her eyes and grabbed Liam's hand pulling him toward her, "Yes! We are getting married soon. Don't forget to give us your blessing. I will be sure to send you an invitation card."
The young man was stunned after he heard Eliza's sentence and his face turned gloomy, but he quickly smiled it off, "Eliza, you were single when I last checked a few days ago. How can you find a boyfriend that quickly and get married all of a sudden? You don't have to lie."
"Mark Zen, I am sorry but this isn't a lie. And please keep some distance from me," Eliza finished her sentence and pulled Liam to leave the place.
"Liam... That... Sorry... that guy is very annoying. You have to pretend to be my boyfriend. I hope you don't mind!" When they distanced themself from Mark, Eliza said to Liam while fidgeting her finger in her nervousness and embarrassment.
Liam quickly shook his head in helplessness, saying that it was all right.
Mark Zen is a well-known and promising young man and one of the top outstanding young people in London. After returning from studying abroad, he inherited the real estate business that his family was about to close down.
In just a few years, the family business that was on the verge of bankruptcy became popular, and personal assets reached from millions to nearly a billion. Therefore, the new generation of real estate tycoons has the most hope to crush the existence of the older generation of real estate people in the future.
Mark and Eliza were old acquaintances who met at the business meeting one day. Since then Mark started to woo her and she pursued her for several years, but was denied from time to time and repeatedly hit the wall.
This time he was here for Eliza, But when he first arrived, he heard the news that was bad news for him. Where did this put his face?
Although there was nothing on the surface, it was already raging and angry.
But leave like this? This is obviously not Mark Zen's style.
"Wait".
Mark suddenly stopped the two of them, and then stepped forward, pretending to apologize, "Eliza, I was really sorry just now, I shouldn't have said that about your intimate relationship. Please forgive my imprudence!"
Then he looked at Liam, stretched out his hand and smiled, "Hello, my name is Mark Zen, chairman of Zen real estate group."
"Liam." Liam reached out and shook his hand symbolically.
"Oh, hmm... What is your job or business?" Mark asked him when Liam didn't say anything about his occupation.
"Unemployed," Liam responded in a flat tone.
"No company, unemployed? Eliza, did you take care of a little white rice?" Mark commented with disgust after knowing that Liam is unemployed and living off Eliza, which makes him white rice.
[A/N: White rice is used for males, especially those who don't like to work and live depending on their wife or girlfriend.]
White rice, and as soon as these words came out, Eliza, who was in a good mood, brushed her pretty face. Making her mood sour and sullen.
"What do you mean by this?" Eliza looked at Mark with a gloomy look and said angrily.
"Sorry, it's just a slip of tongue, yes slip of the tongue, don't be angry, don't be angry ~" Mark quickly raised his hand and slapped his mouth twice, but his eyes were full of contempt for Liam.
"I just saw that Brother Liam is very good at design. I don't know if he has any unique insights on ancient paintings or music. If I can, I would like to talk about it. After all, standing up is quite boring." Seemingly kind, in fact, hiding a knife in the smile, I don't know what to pay attention to.
"I have played some music back in my school days and understand little about painting," Liam nodded casually.
"That's great. We have an exhibition here and there is also a musical instrument. If you would, why don't we enjoy the exchanges?" Mark said and laughed merrily like he was talking with his close friend and not someone stranger who he just had met.
"Sorry, but we still have some business, so we won't be with you." Eliza knew that Mark had a bad stomach and didn't know what he was planning, so she suddenly refused.
Then she took Liam's and left.
Just when she was about to leave, Mark smiled calmly and said with contemptuous eyes, "It seems that Brother Liam is not high in status. Are you afraid that Eliza will dump you? As a man, you can't be led by the nose."
