Chapter 45 Arrogant

Liam said in a calm voice, "In my opinion, you didn't even reach the passing line."

Liam's short remark was like a single tone that caused a thousand waves.

The people who were cheering for Mark were silenced by Liam's words.

Almost everyone at the scene looked at Liam at this time.

"Who is this person?"

"What's the matter with Young Master?"

"How dare he belittle Mr Mark?"

Liam said arrogantly that Mark did not even reach the passing line.

At what level are his piano skills to dare say such words?

Thinking of the conflict between them earlier, everyone felt that Liam was deliberately provoking Mark.

Mark thinks so too.

Although he was very angry and upset in his heart, Mark still responded humbly and asked, " Brother Liam seems to know the piano very well. Can you point out the problems?"

Mark naturally pretends to be humble at this time.

Mark believed that Liam was purposely provoking him, he didn't worry that Liam had any piano skills.

And even if he did have some abilities, Mark's own skill is not bad at all.

Mark felt that there weren't any problems with his performance just now.

Even if Liam's piano talent is more professional than his, Liam doesn't have the right to say that he didn't even reach the passing line.

And so, Mark had to feign to be humble all of a sudden to see how Liam would answer.

If Liam can't point out the problems with his performance just now, then it is like slapping his own face.

There were some people from the audience who thought that Liam doesn't know how to play the piano.

And so, remembering the same, they waited for Liam's answer and looked forward to him getting embarrassed.

But what they did not expect was that Liam said in a calm expression, "The first shortcoming is that you didn't play with emotions. As we all know Richard Clayderman's 'Ballade Pour Adeline' is not a very difficult piece as many can play it very well, it is supposed to be an emotional piece. But when you played it, you didn't have any emotion at all. The melody is dry and boring."

Hearing Liam's words, Mark's smile slightly froze.

Liam is right because he does have a professional level of piano skill and naturally has a corresponding music thesis.

Professional level piano players must unite the body and the mind and concentrate on integrating emotions into the rhythm of the particular piece.

At first, Mark thought he should play to catch the hearts of the women with high status, and then several messy things occurred and so he was not able to focus on delivering the piece with the emotions it was supposed to give to the audience.

But why would Liam ask him with such high demands?!

What Liam said was right, but how many people can really play the piano incorporating emotions on the cold keys?

To be able to achieve that, one must have a top master level piano skill, or one must try very hard to incorporate emotions into the piano keys.

There were certainly no emotions at all, but Mark's treble and bass are very accurate.

It is not as good as that of a piano master, but everyone thinks his skills are not that inferior.

Why does Liam criticise Mark so much?

Mark and a lot of people from the audience had the same opinions.

But before Mark could argue further, Liam continued to speak, "The second shortcoming is that your keys are not very stable. Some basic notes were not hit correctly."

Hearing this, Mark argued, "Brother Liam, didn't I explain already? It's a problem with the piano. I did not hit the notes fully because there is something wrong with the piano keys…"

Liam suddenly interrupted, "This is your third shortcoming. You blame the piano countless times. Of course, the piano matters. But from what I see; you are the problem."

Mark was now a little annoyed.

With the song he just played, it seemed to Liam that it was nothing.

His professional level performance and the cheer from the audience turned out to be worthless. Who can bear such embarrassment?

Mark did not pretend to be nice anymore and asked Liam coldly, "Since Brother Liam has so many comments on my performance, why don't you come up and demonstrate how it shall be done?"

Mark asked Liam to come upon the stage and play.

Not only does Mark want to say this, but also many people present in the audience.

Just as Liam thought, Mark and many people from the audience reckoned that his statements are baseless.

Those three shortcomings they thought Liam just came up with.

As a listener, why would Liam give such embarrassing remarks?

Even though Liam stood with the audience, but, it seemed as if he looked condescending. It's as if a teacher was pointing to his pupils, which made many people very uncomfortable.

Many people began whispering and talking ill of Liam.

"This person is really good at picking thorns. He can't even just listen quietly. Even if he picks thorns so well, I still feel that Young Master Mark clearly plays better."

"Maybe he is just one of those 'Keyboard Warriors'. He just didn't like Young Master Mark and was jealous of his piano skills so he wanted to belittle him."

"He is very condescending and points at other people's faults? If he is really capable, we'll see as soon as he plays a song!"

"That's right! That's a good point! We'll see for ourselves if he is qualified to criticize Young Master Mark as soon as he plays a song. I bet it will be bullshit! He just uses his family's influence to oppress others!"

If it were Liam's mother and father, there would not be too many people who dare to mock.

But it is not the same case with Liam, after all, he is young, and although he was once a young master of an influential family, but no one knows about that now for them he is still a junior.

Such young arrogant people do not deserve any respect.
